I can't actually remember ordering it, so I assume that in common with my fellow member of the bar, Rowley Birkin QC, I was very, very drunk at the time.

Hang on, didn't it say "Diamond like coating. High surface hardness and durability." on the box.
Hmm, perhaps it'll take out the chain rings first.
It did indeed, dearest. Still, at least when I'm riding the bike I won't be able to see it. But you will. Mwahahahaha!!!

Two birds, one stone.

Well, 1.5 birds.

Only if you can get one in carbon fibre, with far-fetched promises that it'll reduce your drag by 25 watts. But if you can, then I'm in.

Well, it's done. Ish. No satellite shifters (the PU sealant's still soft) and as a result only one half of the handlebars taped. But with a Garmin mount and the saddlebag mount (but no saddlebag) it weighs in at 7.17kg. I'm happy with that. Time for bed.

Would be interested to know what DLC coating they used for those chains, and who did it - DLC is a bit of a bracket term, so it could be anything from a thin ano-like layer that will wear off, to a full on ballistic coating that will eat cassettes.

Just had my bike fitting at Condor - saddle up very slightly, 5mm spacer below rather than above the stem, other than that (and a quick tweak of one of the cleats) it appears to be all good.

WTF were you thinking?
Gingivitis.

Just had my bike fitting at Condor ..
What do they charge? -
• #63
phone them and ask?
-
• #64
80 quid. Birthday present from Cycliste.

80 quid birthday present?
Please ask cycliste if he/she has any spaces in his/her friendship group.
-
• #66
Not in her very special friendship group of which I am the sole member. At least, I hope I am, and I hope there isn't. Otherwise I'll have to change my Facebook status to 'It's complicated'.
-
• #67
Did you even ask?
-
• #68
Just have. Answer's 'no', I'm afraid. And it seems the budget for next year's birthday present will be reduced on grounds of lack of discretion...

Have you updated the firmware to the latest release with the multi-shift function?
-
• #70
Thanks for trying.
-
• #71
What did you think of the Condor fitting?
-
• #72
Ooh. This will be fun, had a go on a Ui2 bike that was in for a tune up the other week. Very impressed with it.
-
• #73
Front mech trimming=yes!
-
• #74
Haven't updated the firmware yet, but I will do so in due course. It's got 133 miles under it's wheels now (and 7949m of climbing) and so far I'm rather pleased with it. The Ui2 needed a bit of tweaking, but it's all sorted now. So far so good - and the front mech trimming is rather spiffy.
As for the Condor bike fitting I thought it was rather good. Not as much measuring as I'd expected, but more of a subjective assessment of me pedaling on a bike. Seems to be fine so far - but given I was pretty happy with my position beforehand, that's not much of a surprise.

You climbed 26,000 feet in 133 miles? Were you on a turbo trainer inside a passenger plane or something?
[QUOTE=danstuff;3639023]Well, at least it'll get dirty. And wear out. Please God let it wear out.
