Is there a hub gear somewhere in there?

Nah its a single speed but apparently they can make it take a mech.

Just had a look through old pics of Racelinks - remember the first time I saw one it blew my mind. Such a sick looking thing.
Did people reckon there was much advantage to them? And what is that supposed advantage other than better BB clearance from the smaller chainring?

As much as I love BMW's race links wherent great bikes race bikes compared to a lot of other bikes people were racing at that time and even now they are a bit plow but the prices on them have shot up as so many people have this illusion that they are amazing or like the mystic about them.
Fuck I was offered a race link for £350 years ago but it was useless at the time and i needed every penny to ride my bike at them and go away all summer.

I may be wrong but I'd assumed it was a chain tension thing - no change in effective length across full swing-arm travel which is pretty handy on a singlespeed.

High pivot advantage plus no pedal feedback

@leggy_blonde - I get it now. Have never owned a full sus so wasn't aware of that.
Explains the need for all that complexity anyway. -

That's pretty spot on except for the fork. The only orange coloured thing an American should have is a 2 gallon jug of ready made Tang

Is it an homage to The Donald? Maybe after January 20th (or whenever it is) they'll replace it with an old, grey one that could collapse at any time?

If Joe Biden were a fork he'd be a Krampus (QR, not thru-axle)

Haha this is great!
I've spent a lot of time in Russia over the past 16 years.
In 2004 I was in Moscow. One day walking near Red Square I couldn't beleive my eyes when a group of about 10 people cruised past me, all on long travel dh bikes, a few of them with Monster T forks.
One of them had a Norco A-line frame. My friend back home had the same bike also with Monster T's. I got chatting to them and it turned out, unbeknownst to me, there was a big mtb street riding scene there. Just hucking big stair gaps etc.
I told them about my friends Norco back home and they told me about a Norco dealer in Moscow that I should check out. I visited the bike shop, they had a Norco A-line frameset reduced in a sale that was the equivalent of about £400. Would have been more than double that back home. I bought the frame there and then and took it back home to Scotland. Good Times.
