MountainGoat did make odd paintjobs an artform - I admire the commitment of any company that routinely resprays suspension forks.
I went looking for a picture of the whiskeytown racer with yellow spatter on burgundy featured in the MBUK 1992 summer special, but I thought I'd leave this one here - team colours but sadly fitted with a replacement fork.

Yes, early Surly Pugsleys used 135mm OLD front and rear, offset 17mm to the drive side with rear-spacing on the front disc so you could run two SS rear wheels with different gears.
