does anybody know if there is a space for racers to leave shit/bikes/bags safely whilst at the event?
-
• #153
as there's 69 people 'coming' on the facebook event for the forumengers birthdays, that bit will be likely be far too cramped for us to all fit in.
any chance of a link to the FB page ? -

^^if you need me to hold a bag for you or summin that's cool

I don't see what else there is to worry about...
Running out of drink obviously!

Lock your fucking bike somewhere else apart from here and not up against the viewing railings!
Lock both wheels And take your seat/seatpost with you - the thieves WILL be flocking there.
How many spectator / competitor bikes were taken last year? A whole van was cleared out wasn't it?

-

BB will be way more fun to chill on, same reason I'm riding the gangsta not the seta.
-
• #168
yeah thats what i thought to be honest. but then again i never use the vivalo for anything except chilling.. will decide tomorrow
-
• #169
What will be easier to ride when drunk?

good call. extra locks tomorrow. -

i reckon up by the top-left corner of the track will be good if we bring plenty of beers with us. for the track crit that will be the crucial corner (aka where everyone stacks it)
Been to Nocturne, never seen any cycling. Still happy.

Bike tree... Bikes are taken from those who race only.

There was a Nocturne special pullout thing in the Evening Standard yesterday - my penny farthing-obsessed colleague left it on my desk this morning as there's going to be a penny farthing race!! Exciting!
I was in that : )
Just swapped my massively comfortable suspended saddle for a small hard racing saddle. The position is much more aggressive, right over the wheel, which means I have better purchase on the pedals to respond to the tight and twitchy course and can lean right over for a bit of penny aero but a pebble might just flick me into an 'imperial crowner'. Hmmmm
I think I saw some people skidding at some point
