  • I'll probably expire before I'm 60 anyway.

    Clive - You're the sexiest 57y 11m old I've ever seen.

  • hippy, make sure you tweet whenever you stop for water or whatever. At your level of sport, pleasing the audience is as important as performance.

  • I don't have enough battery power for that but I'll see what I can do.

  • Haha winning! Enjoy Paris, not sure why I decided against it now it is here!!!!

  • Afternoon update

    65 Mark Booker
    158 Marin Roso

Both together at a fuel station in Turkey. 148 km left to ride. Every time I have looked at their progress they have been in another fuel station. They have made slow progress today but will hopefully finish tomorrow.

    93 Remy Pedussel

In Greece. Still 590 km to go. No movement today.

    127 Andreas Thier

In Albania, but close to the Greek border now. 708 km to go.

    130 David Coulson

26 km from CP3. As the CP is at an hotel, hopefully he will get there this evening.

  • Morning update

    65 Mark Booker
    158 Marin Roso

Both together 13 km for the end. Should finish within the next hour. Chapeaux!!

    93 Remy Pedussel

In Albania, and about to cross the Greek border. 681 km to go.

    130 David Coulson

Stopped at CP3 overnight and now making good progress towards CP4 which is 308 km away.

  • Thanks for the updates Clive, it's good to keep track of.
There's a BBC series on at the moment of Rick Stein going from Venice to Istanbul and he seems to be doing a similar route. The second episode goes through Split and it looks amazing.

  • good read thx @Arvy., up there with that Rapha post about an old route across Britain (temporarily forget the name),

  • Sunday Morning update

    65 Mark Booker
    158 Marin Roso

    Both finished together yesterday. Chapeaux!!

Not sure if riding together disqualifies them. Not sure that they care.

    93 Remy Pedussel

In Greece. Didn't move yesterday. 434 km to go. He is by the coast. Maybe resting up prior to one last big push.

    127 Andreas Thier

In Greece makeing steady if slow progress. 623 km to go.

    130 David Coulson

192km from CP4. Made reasonable progress yesterday. Just over 100 km. Should reach CP4 tomorrow.

    127 Andreas Thier

In Greece making progress. 516 km to go.

    130 David Coulson

  • Immense effort by all involved.

    93 Remy Pedussel

About to cross the border into Turkey. 234km to go. Covered 50km overnight..

    127 Andreas Thier

In Greece, just under way for the day. 512 km to go.

    130 David Coulson

171km from CP4. Close to Sarajevo. Not yet moving today. Could get to CP4 later today or tomorrow.

  • David Coulson just coming close to Sarajevo airport. Don't be tempted David!

Remy Pedussel is storming ahead and now has just over 100 miles to go. Could possibly finish today but I suspect tomorrow.

Andreas Their has really been motoring today and now has only 438 km to go. Could be there in three days, or possibly less.

  • Monday evening update

    93 Remy Pedussel

Well into Turkey. A long hard day in the saddle riding almost 160km. He has stopped, possibly for the day, at Tekirdag, just 129km to go. Should finish tomorrow.

127 Andreas Thier. In Greece at Nea Peramos. Made some good progress today covering around 160 km so far and still riding. Only 361 km to ride.

In Greece, just under way for the day. 512 km to go.

    130 David Coulson

125 km from CP4. Resisted the temptation of Sarajevo airport and is riding through the mountainous terrain that will take him to the coast. Tough riding. Possible that he will be close to CP4 by the end of tomorrow but it may be another day before he actually gets there. I two or three days time, David will be the focus of these reports!

  • hope david is planning to ride through macedonia so i can bump in to him!

  • If you're in my pension scheme probably very slim.

I got a forecast recently and I need to find £300k in the next 30 years (to retire at 67.)

I suspect I'll just have to work until I'm 70 and then kill myself.

  • I don't think he is on here but he might pop by and if he does he will see your post.

This might be him on Strava

May be a way to contact him.

  • That was a brilliant read.

  • Tuesday morning update

    93 Remy Pedussel

Only 83km to go. Not moving at present but must finish today..

    127 Andreas Thier

In Greece making progress. Making very good progress. 320 km to go. Could finish Thursday or Friday.

    130 David Coulson

115km from CP4 in the mountains of Bosnia and soon to cross the border. Slow but steady progress.

  • Bit conerned about Remy Pedussel. He doesn't appear to have moved today and yet is just 50 miles from the end. If I can be cleve, I will upload a couple of screen shots that indicate that he appears to have jumped. This could be as a result of issues with his transponder.

  • No, doesn't appear to want to work. Oh yes it does!
