  • Ask the same question in the audax topic but a 100k would be a good start, or a.200k but beat to do the former.

  • 120mm with obviously 30mm layback, think I'd need 80mm stem or keep the 120mm and scrap the seat post for an inline.

    Does this work? Wouldn't it be bad for your knees or something to change your saddle position in relation to the bb? Thinking of doing it on my commuter / tourer as the toptube is basically too long for me even with an 80mm stem.

    edit: just saw ed's reply, sorry.

  • Mdcc said it best;

    Never let your bars dictate your seating position; get the relation between your arse and your feet sorted out first, then move the bars to where your hands end up.

  • Cheers Ed, had a tinker today on the way home......shifting the seat forward made a world of difference.

  • Mudguard stays need reducing. Nice bike.

    Wish the barber's on my Mercian went all the way to the clusters, I don't know why but mine stops short.

    I know what you mean now! Just making sure I'm happy with the positioning before I file em back...

  • A sensible decision.

    As a word of advice, cut them a little long, in case you get bigger tyres or use them on another bike with different geometry.
