  • i thought the rust on the headtube was from sweat, because the frame had been on an indoor training stand. (at least thats what i thought)

Mine had exactly the same problem. They get very humid.

Are you sure that is rusted from the inside? I'd be very surprised.

Look to be in decent condition otherwise aswell mate!

  • So this is what it looks like now. Naked steel!

Chromed chainstays underneath that shitty yellow golden coat. Nice!

The mended damage underneath the coating. Seems to be solder-filled. A pretty good job actually.

  • Next step is to take the frame to a local solder/framebuilder tomorrow to assess the damage and check if it can be straightened.

If it can I will leave it to him to do that plus solder fill the lugs and make them pretty again.

  • Be interested ot hear if it can be heated and pulled straight... need that doing to mine too... I think you took a gamble on this frame (think I bid on it too) but looks like it will defo pay off.

  • My best shot for this to work would be that it can be de-soldered, put into a frame-jig and straightened out and then re-soldered. We'll see what the builder says.

I've sourced the correct forkcrown with colnago panto aswell and will build a fork if this get greenlit.

  • FUCK OFF!
    Where from?
    Please?

  • Tell me they have another...

  • In a mine...in Minsk...had to dig it out with my teeth...

  • Tell me they have another...

    ...

  • Caaaaaaaaaam on...

  • Caaaaaaaaaam on...

You don't need that kind of fork....it's rattlecanned ffs Chris!

    Y U NO COAT RIGHT?!

  • Doing it myself until I find a proper fork... HINT.

  • Buy my fork then! SALE!

    See instagram...

  • This frame is probably from around '93-94.

  • Seems like this is my type of frame.

  • What do you think the fork that came with the frame is?

  • It has cinelli 22 pista lugs and fork ornaments, and campagnolo drop outs and is marked 56C. My guess would be that it came from a high end no-name track bike.
I'll check the clearance when I get back from the framebuilder tonight if you want?

  • Yeah could be cool... prob dont need em, but you know... just seen a Rossin somewhere I really want... this is not wise...

  • PM the link to it. I'll give you my opinion.

Oh and stop biting my shit! ;)

Having a feel for the aesthetics is the problem we both have.

  • It's on ebay and I have just been outbid, thank god, just blown far too much at a sample sale round the corner for no reason...

Rossin and Guerciotti are very high on my to own list.

  • Is it the brushed one? You need that mate.

  • Don't.

  • Would look good next to the Nag and the Viner. Just sayin'.
