howard this app you're using allows everybody to delete the pictures (lower left corner)
oh yeah!!!!!!
how strange!
it'll be like a honesty-box then - my fxcamera photo submissions - or more like giving everybody a veto (or deserving visibility!)
...or maybe there's an option to un-allow deletions... {light-box in brain}

can we peg this as "Central" drinks?
can we? can we? -
• #79
+1 to this ^
-
• #80
"You've probably never heard of it" drinks?
-
• #81
can we peg this as "Central" drinks?
can we? can we?:-)
so the restoration of Central Drinks eh?!I'm game!
Vote worthy venues to consider for Centrals Restoration:
The Peasant, Clerkenwell
Exmouth Market (place opposite the bike shop there)
(or are they both a little too east of center?!)so - new thread as well?
(surely the Fitzrovia thread must remain!)
-
• #82
Where is the centre point between east/west drinks?
-
• #83
Shame I missed this. If heading in the Clerkenwell direction, the Gunmakers (http://thegunmakers.co.uk) is a great pub with reasonable bike locking potential just opposite. No fun police either preventing kerbside beers.

Just starting working in Fitzrovia, and have never been able to get to a forum drinks before. Would be a shame if it was moved out east to Clerkenwell...
-

Fitzrovia thread must remain!
Fitzrovia thread must remain!
Fitzrovia thread must remain!
Central = Fitzrovia!

I guess this can be the new Central drinks, but only if the new Central drinks are in Fitzrovia
-
• #88
Central = Fitzrovia!
oh! - i see - well i guess we've already got the thread then, Fitzrovia, featuring Fitzrovia (Central drinks!) - perhaps this can flow a little into neighbouring Marylebone, Soho, and Bloomsbury,
but,
Would be a shame if it was moved out east to Clerkenwell...
not as far east as Clerkenwell!
ps.
Londonist's Random London Fact of the Day
The name Fitzrovia is a relatively recent coinage, first recorded in 1940. Until it gained popular currency in the 1950s, the area was often considered to be part of Soho. To suggest that the area should be restyled as Noho, however, goes down about as well as saying Holborn and Bloomsbury should be renamed Midtown.

I suppose, as the instigator of the original central drinks (that weren't the really original, but non-official and unnamed, "turn up at the Jon Snow on a Friday" drinks) I should give a nod of approval to this successor.
Nods.

What about the Lamb? Wasn't that the first proper central drinks? Jon Snow was just 'all the fakengers hang out where the realengers are' :P

Where is the centre point between east/west drinks?
east drinks is in N16, so I would say somewhere around brent cross.
-
• #94
Nearly but not quite, careful measurement has revealed that the nearest pub to the geographical, cultural and social centre of London just happens to be...
My local, see you all on Friday.
-
• #95
Bzzzt!
The world revolves around me so it's where I happen to be on Friday.
Though, this could very well be the gutter outside your local..

• #96
the centre point between east's and west's is in regent's park, should central drinks be tramp beers?
if you add north's and south's to make a cross the centre of it is actually almost on top of a pub (the golden lion on royal college street)
-
• #97
but I still vote for the green man and its delicious 7% cider
-
• #98
green man pavement nazi's are a downer...
lambs <> fitzrovia

Tramp beers in the sun sounds epic, followed by a ride to The pub when it gets cold!

regents park tramp beers would be awesome.
in the afternoon there is a good amount of fair weather mamils as well, and another opportunity to laugh at them would be even more awesome.
I work in kings x btw, am I allowed?
