True Temper is 4130?
-

4130 is a standard for the chemical compostion of a steel, and truetemper are are brand that make various grades of steel tubing for various things. Wut?

If you are still looking for a stem, I would consider letting my Superted one go..

i know this is getting annoying, but need opinions.
nitto bars, seatpost, might get dura ace or omnium cranks if i have something to spare, if not it's gonna be a gimondi for awhile, all silver parts, but i can't decide which stem, votes?
i like the mash most, but there's part of me that wants to get a nitto stem to match up all the nitto parts.

any news on this front; still waiting for the frame to arrive?
changed the saddle on mine to a carbon railed antares and pedals to a pair of eggbeaters, and got the weight down to 7,2 kg.
such an amazing ride! good choice, mate.

• #63
Eggbeaters eh?
-
• #64
the medium size cages felt eventually a tad too small and i wanted to try some clipless pedals on the 'naut. got a pair of eggbeaters in my parts bin, so i did put them on. now waiting for the time atacs to arrive.

kid: didn't think that there were people still checkin back on this thread.
waiting for them to be back from the painters, i've checked with tony, but he said he can't "control" the painters.
getting a tad draggy, though on the plus side, it's givin me a little more time to decide if i should spend all the money that i don't have to get some omniums. can't say that's a good thing but well...
and time pedals are what i am running too! though slightly on the heavy duty side (mine, that is)
Sore: ended up with the nitto one, got them for a decent price.

there are not too many supernauts out there, and as a happy owner of one i like to follow how things are rolling with others.
mine got stuck to a painter for a longer time as well, but that was due to problems with wet paint on the carbon fork. i wanted a top coat paint scheme and the first vendor couldn't do it on the carbon.
anyways, i told tony he can take his time and when the frameset finally arrived i was more than happy with the paint job.

this sitting around waiting for parts is making me go crazy....
i keep seeing things i want to buy and add on to this build, i think i should just stay off the net, and wait patiently for everything to come....
-
• #71
be glad its not the other way around...
I had the frame first, and then had to eat beans and save up for parts watching the frame sitting in my living room and staring back at me!
althought its probably comparable... -
• #72
^^^^^^^
i actually think the agony is comparable, what build was this that you're doing?
-
• #73
hi all, got a qn;
the on one track cransk i just got, have the logo on the crank arms, like a powercoated spray paint in white on silver cranks.
is there any ways which i can remove it?
from the pictures provided by on one they weren't there...
thanks!

They obviously use a mix of what they decide best for the job, how consistent/varied the specific tubing is throughout the range and sizes, i dont know. And there's a lot of potential customisation, from a secondhand owners pov at the least . 4130, Oversized Columbus Zona and True Temper OX Platinium certainly appears in there, mine is raw and marked, so can confirm in my case.
Whatever, they ride superbly. Apologies if derailing the op thread? Tonic owners thread?
