  • I have nothing but respect for Symon, as it would be easy to lose motivation when you can win at will but he never does.

  • Is that a bit too gushy?

  • And will someone please, for the love of god, stop Symon Lewis from winning EVERYTHING.

Admittedly I'm only likely to drop his hit rate down to about 95% but I'll give it a shot.

  • Will mostly miss watching Rich winning the handicap sprint every week with a handicap of about 100 metres,

Not quite true, this is the event where I picked up most of my Sandbagging points. so I will aim to keep Tricky's hit rate down to about 75% as the handicapper continues to move me back towards Richard. Have to see if we can't get Miles down a few more times, with his handicap being, the next county.

Can't play today, wife's birthday. Well I could, but I do need to earn some more track / crit / road race credits.

  • Really good fun tonight, saw some familiar and unfamiliar faces, definitely need to get fitter and my tactics right for the races, but really happy with the C group at the moment and a good foundation to work with.

Also sorry about my bad language on the track, was just annoyed that we got caught in the hear and hound and got boxed it, I do apologies if I offended anyone and will zip it next time back on the track! =)

Yeah, that was really good, big up Cooky. Tried to jump on his wheel, but he dropped me like it's hot.

  • ^^ Did you drop the F-bomb, Ho? I knew the B lot were gonna catch us, so swung off and tried to join up with them as they overtook the Cs. I think it worked, for the most part.

I too, had fun tonight. Totally agree with Ho about the C Cat being great to build the skills needed to progress further.

First outing tonight, as the number suggests. Had a great time, managed to grab the warm up race and the scratch race in the C Cat. I still feel like I need a lot more experience before I can move up, I seem to end up eating a lot of wind and got well and truly boxed in in the H&H. Can't wait for next week though, hoping to add to my 1.2 points!

  • Well done Tommmm

  • HoKe won 60 points for winning the handicap sprints!

  • Taking a piss. Why did they place me 10 meters away from the start line, so I had to try to avoid the holders by swerving between them before I could sprint off. I had about 5% chance of winning that sprint. Chevrons.

Couldn't you be positioned higher up the track to go over the top of them?

It's ultimately asking for trouble if there's a line of riders on one mark with their holders blocking the whole track for those coming from further back.

  • You don't 'get' boxed in.
You allow yourself to become boxed in.

  • Massive respect to HoKe and his sprint.

    Can someone clarify the following:

    • Points earned at track league cannot contribute to license points.
    • Final rankings for track leagues can have points awarded.
    • This doesn' t apply to HHVWNTL as it's regional C.
    • Open event races can have points awarded as long as they're long enough.

There was about 5 riders in front of me and they lined up from bottom to top. I was right at the back in the middle. Didn't know about amount of points, that can be earned either. Live and learn, I guess.

  • Why is the 6th place on the Cat C warm up scratch and 6th place on the A/B/C handicap sprints shown as N/A?

Because the judges didn't get the numbers, happens sometimes unfortunately, they're only human. Mostly.

  • That was me as well -.- im pretty sure I was 6th

This tends to happen at the beginning of the season as a load of new riders turn up and are all on the same mark. As the handicapping sorts itself out over the next couple of weeks it shouldn't happen so much.

  • I see there is Madison racing on Wednesday, and training for it tomorrow. Is that for all categories, and will there be other races on as well for those who cannot train for it tomorrow and are scared at the prospect?
