Just generally looks great, and interested to see how the 531 ST rides.
My Pearson road bike is 531st. It's no lightweight but you notice the added stiffness around the BB. There's no flip flopping when out of the saddle.
I'm sure the builder has a lot to do with the feel of the frame, but this should make a nice rider.

Still not sure I want to sell it, should probably wait to see if this is too big before selling the Orlobropro...

Heh, the whole point of the ST is that it'll prevent the bike from feeling noodly while under heavy laden.
in other word, as stiff as a tourer without the panniers + rack.

I have a Bryan Warnett a lot earlier than that one I think as it has wrap round and 'BW' embossed seatstays, the forks and built in 531c tubing, 56-s/t and 53 t/t in a nice red mid 60's guessing

Saw it on the bay, immediately regretted being such a shortarse. Really looking forward to this, I'm sure you'll make the frame justice.

• #45
how many bikes you onto now?

leaving the frame as it is, just putting layers of polish on to seal the scrapes and paint, it has a no-name front wheel which I intend to replace with a period Campag at some point ideally a rim with a braking surface. All the bearings need new grease it is as dead as a dodo but the main quest is a front brake that suits it. I have to wait for a bit till I have enough room in the workshop.
