  • Thanks for the info. And I can't argue with that, it does suit it well.

  • To be honest I see no benefit of the centaur over the veloce... Would possibly say I found the veloce lasted longer, and it is around half the price.

  • Aw fuck!! There's a curse going round atm man :( u over tighten or just all out fail? Sorry to see that dude..

  • Not sure, maybe bit of both... Was wondering what that creaking was.... Going to take it to woodrups and see if they can rebraze it.

  • What was the line on the seatpost inbetween the stay?

  • Old insertion mark, was there when I bought it.

  • Aye hopefully that's all it needs and they'll help you out. Hope it goes well sir, keep us updated..

  • any news? is this getting repaired?

  • Been broke this month, going to try and sort it out over the next few weeks...

Not sure what I will do, as there will some damage to paint. I might get it fixed and sell it for the ebay price + cost of repair.

Toyed with the idea of finding out how much Woodrup would charge to rebuild it 2 cm less tall...

  • If you do sell it, there's a list of dibs somewhere isn't there?

  • Yeah, but that was pre crack/repair/?damage to paintwork?....

  • Indra will probs be interested

  • Being interested is all well and good, if I sell it, it will be to someone that gives me some money.

  • Didn't see the crack until now , real shame was my favourite frame on here , I'd say the cost of the resizing/rebuild would be huge though

  • Toyed with the idea of finding out how much Woodrup would charge to rebuild it 2 cm less tall...

Good thinking, reminds me of this: http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/yamaguchi-aero-track-1814
All the best with getting it sorted.

  • Cheers, yeah well, I thought I'd ask about the re-sizing and weigh it up against the cost of rebrazing the crack... Sometimes there is an odd economy with these things.

It's a great tube set, but admittedly taller than ideal. Perfectly rideable, but pointlessly tall, for me. I think I might feel bad about depriving a truly seserving tall bastard of it though.

  • Yes. Remember a) tall people and b) this guy:

  • I kind of miss this build, really need to get frame fixed. These were probably the best shots I got of it but realised I never posted them in here....

I do think though in hindsight the frame is just on the large side for me so will probably get it repaired, assess the condition and move it on.

  • great pics, new camera?

  • Nah these are old pics taken with my SLR, was looking for that one of the rear bridge and was surprised I didn't post them on this thread.

Haven't used the camera for ages as it's at my mums. Need to pick it up.

  • That looks lovely.

  • Finally...

Anyone know a good place to pick up pantone colour spray paint?

  • Leave it raw (after waxing it of course).
