  • £220?

  • But this is nowhere near those perameters and the rules of the forum state that you cant ad here and elsewhere which keeps things as simple and honest as possible so as I said the OP can take their pretty frame and do one.

    ^

  • Great thread, would read again 7/10.

  • Sorry guys for abusing You and this forums.
Yes, I do earn a living from reselling bikes. No shame about that. I am not stealing anything.
I didn't buy it on Ebay, but locally and for more money, so I don't earn that much.
Inintially it was for me, but I am too short for a 58cm frame (more like 54) and realized that.
As for the price, take a look at this (I thought it is worth that much):

I was not going to let it go quickly and cheaply when someone may offer me a great deal on this stuff in a month or so. I did buy a lovely Ti frame last year, but sold it on a huge profit (again, too large for me, but fell in love with that).

    Best Regards
    Victor

  • hmm it seems i mistaken, just saw on retrobike that he apparantly is based in Poland..
i have have no idea how so many NOS Look frames turn up all of the sudden..

  • take a look at this

    That hasn't sold yet.

  • you would think we would have dropped the price by now right?

  • Stunning Frame you will not find anywhere else.

    .

  • Truly stunning, I'm very interested.

How much for shipping to Indonesia?

  • ^seriously?

  • the sport of cycling is the real loser here

  • There's nothing wrong with making a profit. If you buy something for a price that the seller is happy with, then you sell it for a higher price that the new buyer is happy to pay, there is nothing wrong with that. I think the price is a little high, but whatever price someone is willing to pay, is the price it is worth.

Every single business that sells a physical product works like this. You wouldn't post on Hilary Stone's threads pointing out how much he paid for a bike he was selling? I guess the only difference is we all know Hilary's is a business. Perhaps people who are selling something on here as a trader should say they are a trader, if we don't already know...

  • As for Indonesia shipping costs: about 80 EUR insured.
contact me on victor.wisniewsky4@gmail.com if seriously interested. I have USA buyer seriously interested as well.

BTW. I do not get the money for myself. I find myself reselling to bring some reasonable $$$ home, as my heart tears apart when I see my Parents working long hours to make a living, constantly stressed out because of financial problems. Seriously. That's nothing to be ashamed of.
Also, I priced that high because I know of these bulging-wallet snobs who are willing to pay loads for some fancy NOS stuff. And they have LW's Obermayers and newest Campy EPS to put on a lovely bike.

I'm pretty sure you'll struggle to sell it for that price now...

The forum is a great place to find and sell nice bikes; I've bought AND sold bikes and parts here, the bikes I've sold very often i spent hours tracking down, dealing with all the unseen stuff, missing parts that are expensive to replace, stuck posts, wheel and headset bearing replacements, chains etc etc, plus a lot of sympathetic restoration; it's very absorbing and rewarding hobby, some sales you make a bit on which is fair enough, but it wouldn't survive a day as a business if I counted half of the time spent!

  • Yep, that's what I do as well. I am a bike fanatic and fetishist and I find it extremely rewarding, playing with high- end lovely road parts is my pleasure.
I highly appreciate the fact that many guys here offer sensibly priced lovely stuff.

But this isn't a retail website, it's a community for trading superfluous bikes and bits at a fair price.

You want a profit, fuck off to eBay.

Does it say no traders allowed in the rules?

  • No but you're clearly missing the point of a community based website aren't you.

  • Yes its a community based website, where traders are allowed also.

  • don't think anyone has a problem with traders who ask forum friendly prices, if you want to make a big profit go to ebay, if you want to sell here and keep your prices realistic, no one cares

  • ^^ They're allowed, it doesn't mean that they should be tolerated or not called out on ridiculous profiteering, or how they conduct their sales.

Why are you so keen to defend?

I agree, but even if this guy had put the price up by £50, someone would have posted up the link and made him out as a bad guy.

But in this case it is ridiculous.

  • Yep because unlike Hilary who trawled jumbles and admittedly put some effort. This guy buys it cheap sat on his arse and the price is online for all to see and then hikes it massively.
