Hey there first post on lfgss. I'm from the states, and have been a long time c-dale lover. Just picked up a capo which will be the 5th cannondale I've ever owned.
Bike looks amazing.
I was just curious if you guys know if a fork with 35mm rake would work with the capo? Looking to get a shorter trail, but don't want to have to worry about hitting the downtube. Anyone have an idea? I've heard some people say the stock fork is 45, and others 43. I'm not sure if going to 35, would ruin the bike's handling.
Thanks very much, just went into the shed to trawl through the parts bin and it's a 43mm rake fork that was originally fitted. I'd be tempted to not deviate with the original rake as from 43 to 35 is a big change, but there's no harm in fitting it and seeing how it performs. Would say the same as TM, can't ever see the wheel hitting the downtube either.

Was going to cable tie them together actually, but inevitably I cut the cable outers too short to bring them together. Amateur I know.

I am wondering which size crank arms you got for the omniums and what's the bb width?
I have a 2010 Capo with a S75 165mm with a 68/109 bb and the crank arm is this close from hitting the chainstay...
165 is a bit small for me so i am looking for an alternative setup...
My frame is a 56 - do you have any issue w the chainstay?

Sorry for the belated reply.
I'm using 165 cranks and the standard english thread SRAM bb. With 165 cranks they are close to the chain stay (around 3mm) but I've never had a problem.

Just got my hands on a bare alu cannondale capo off here and happened to stumble across your thread while rooting about online, really enjoyed reading it but fear my build is now going to cost slightly more as a result....

Thanks, I have to admit it's one of my cheaper builds but probably the bike I use the most.
Just seen the bike you mention in the classifieds, it's nice that your frame is the real raw lacquer model, as opposed to my raw finish. I haven't noticed any corrosion or change to the finish at all but at least you have the piece of mind with the clearcoat. Have you got any plans for the build; ss, fixed? Oh and do start a thread, would love to see.

Plan on using a few bits I've got lying around and the rest is still up in the air, got a set of polished super record high flange hubs laced to cxp33s so assuming I can sort the spacing and screw on a s/s freewheel then that's the wheels sorted....aim to start a thread but expect to be frustated by out of focus upside down photos as this computer lark really ain't my thing.

sorry to drag up an old thread, but I'm curious what the attraction of the capo is?
it's a beautiful looking biking, but what is the ride like? how does it compare to other track frames?

try to find a relatively cheap, lightweight ss frame, drilled for rear brakes, 1 1/8 head tube, can run mudguards and isn't hideously ugly. I can't and I've been looking a while, I'm sure it rides lovely, but I'm even more sure it's a niche that not much else fills. One went on ebay last night for £360 f+f

You can usually pick up a Pearson Touche/Oncemoreintothebreach for fairly cheap. A friend of mine has a destickered metallic black one that looks quite good I think

The attraction for me is it's a well made track frame that can be adapted easily for everyday use. It has a rear brake bridge and can even take mudguards at a push.

Well put, in it's latest guise. With 25c tyres and mudguards, albeit looking at the track ends I'm really pushing it with the wider tyres.
