  • i'm with adoubletap on this.

  • Don't think anyone will argue against the fact that Sagan has an immense talent. Can he win Tour de France? Give it a couple of years, and he'll be a real contender.

  • He'll remain an incomplete athlete until he progresses to the heights of triathlon.

I hope you are not being serious...

  • Well the greatest athlete that ever lived, Lance Armstrong of course, was a triathlete so it's something to aim for

  • I'd like to see someone in the modern era win all the monuments, maybe he could do that.

  • Reading this discussion, I suddenly realized that Sagan is a totally incomplete human being. I mean, the guy hasn't even won le Tour. Shame on him.

  • Can Sagan solve quadratic equations?

    I should fucking hope so.

Will be interesting to see if he goes with any moves in the real mountain stages. But this year he's surely gotta target races like Sunday and maybe the world champs (having said that I've no idea what the course is like this year)

  • Can Sagan tie his own laces? Someone else's laces?

  • Can Sagan tie his own laces? Someone else's laces?

As he overtakes them on a climb

  • ...blindfolded.

  • I'd like to see someone in the modern era win all the monuments, maybe he could do that.

Winning one would be a start.

But I'd like to see someone do it and realistically only Sagan and Gilbert have a chance.

  • You can scratch Gilbert off that list I think.

  • He's won two of the five and definitely has the ability to add San Remo and Flanders to his palmares. Roubaix would be more of a stretch but I think he has more of a chance of winning that than Sagan has of winning Lombardy.

  • Can Sagan behave himself?

  • To address OPs question I don't think he can win the tour but he's great to watch, his personality shows in his riding.

  • dj, you're drunk, get off the podium

  • What really happened:

  • So with his current disappointing showing in the Classics, excepting Milan San Remo and Flanders, is there still much speculation on Sagan's chances of winning Le Tour?

  • Disappointing? Fuck me, it's a tough crowd on here.

Take away the last two races and he's finished either 1st or 2nd in every one day race he's ridden this season. That's fucking exceptional, especially for a 22 year old.

  • Also excepting Gent Wevelgem and Brabantse Pijl and E3 Harelbeke? Calling it a disappointing performance is a bit of an overstatement.

Edit - what Andy said. Simultaneous posting.

  • juniors".

Will he evolve into a full blown Tour winner?

    Discuss.

(You can currently get over 200/1 on him winning the Tour 2013 title by the way)

    No

  • What really happened:

    lol
