Interested in your choice of Jacket, Ed. Do you find that necessary for summertime European touring? That thing seems like pretty good value, how small does it pack down?
-
• #107
Very small if you compress it a lots, you can get one with a hood, and without the sleeve too.
If you're using a zero degree sleeping bag, they're very useful to keep warm in the morning.

Well that didn't work, trying very hard to like the Prologo saddle that came with it, in the end it just didn't work and put back the Brooks saddle with Nitto setback seatpost.
In shame, I covered up the logos;

The only good news is that Brooks is going to produced a non-leather lightweight saddle base on the B17 for those with the weight weenie disease.

God that is an expensive way to fuck up a nice looking bike.
Oh I know, somehow it made the bike ride terribly.
Will have to see how I get on with this;
-
• #123
its because this bike is for racing and riding aggressively on a proper saddle, not sitting way back in a leather hammock. It must be really painful trying to get enough weight over the front wheel to descend properly.
-
• #124
It wasn't in the slightest, I ride in the drop a lots more than the top.
Actually have to put the nose up a tiny bit more as I got too much weight on the handlebar.
