What pressure you running ptr?

Errr off hand I don't remember, but I would guess by the feel of them the same as you. I did't want them to be rock hard.
I'm now wondering if I should leave the front rack on my tark bike (once iIve got new forks made) and get a nice stainless rack for this.
Should have some nice photos with the mudguards by tonight too -

Is Ted making you a fork?
Was chatting with him on Sat, reminded of what a sound and knowledgeable bloke he is.

Hopefully, I've got to take some photos for him first, which I'll hopefully get done this week.

Hoods look too low on the bars...

Its just the angle, the transition is perfectly flat.

How do you find the brakes? Totally satisfied?
Also are you happy with the bike as a whole? Anything you'd change?
Looks really good. I'd be tempted to switch the spacers to just one the right height.

Commuted on my Badman this morning for the first time since swapping to the 32c Paselas and it rides so nice, running them at 70psi and they're noticeably more comfortable than the 28c hardshells at 80psi, and don't seem to be draggy at all.
TM approved
Ironically enough I find the Paselas to be quite stiff and harsh to ride compare to the 32c Grand Bois tyres, I reckon you'll understand why I went through the whole fuss on getting lightweight 42c tyres.
Fuck touring on Marathon.

... and equally, fuck commuting on Grand Bois (:

I found paselas tg to ride harsh and i had a flat the first day too. Conisident most likely but never seemed like a good option to me.

Three puncture in 6,500km isn't too shabby.

This is great, it has given me some inspiration.

I answered your questions in the CP thread, but heres the quote incase you don't see it.
I'm very happy with it so far, its a better fit for a start, and as I said its much stiffer.
The Brakes are excellent now I've got them set up correctly, initially the throw on the levers was a bit too far to be usable on the tops, but once I got that dialed in they've been great - the same feel through the levers as dual piviots but with the extra power as discs.
The only thing that niggles at me to change it is the forks, I'm not really a fan of the look of unicrown forks for some reason. Theres no good reason for me to want to change them other than that, maybe way on down the line i'll get superted to knock something up for me.Oh and the mudguards are the stainless Gilles Berthoud ones.
And yes, a single large spacer would probably be a good idea.
This is great, it has given me some inspiration.
Rad, glad to hear it

Spotter, wait till the Genesis Equilibirum Disc fork become available, they have lugged crown and 631.

Good shout.

I am pretty much convinced to get this, what are the downsides other than weight?
-
• #295
Mine is the older one so doesn't have any rack eyelets on the forks, I'd also say that the fork clearance isn't great, with 32's and mudguards its a bare squeeze.
Thats all that springs to mind at the moment.

a bit pricey maybe
-
• #297
New maybe. Mine was £170 posted:
...the previous owner had downtube braze on's added to give him the option of running fiction shifters.
He then had it powered coated a rather nice dark blue, had it treated with Dinitrol and promptly decided he didn't want it.
so essentially brand new.

• #298
sorry, I meant the Equilibirum Disc full bike.
-
• #299
No downside, the performance of the disc outweigh the slight weight increase.
You can go and test ride a normal Equilibrium and see how you like it.
-

I have a normal equilibrium which is quite nice but too small for me. This is to replace it and as I mainly commute thought that discs would be a better option. Having cyclescheme eases the burden as well.
I think its the soft sidewalls that do it, the difference between them and my marathons was vast comfort wide.
