Bothwell, how tall are you? I thought you were my height? (then again, I am having issues working out my own height)

5'4" at all times. I think Al has already provided Ffaulty Towers with a physical description of me that is as close to "lol we will be packing an ACTUAL DWARF" that you could get while still being polite. No prizes for guessing who gets to sleep in the Wendy house in the garden, then.

I just had a look at the group shot in the garden from the Prossecco tour. KTBee looks about the same height as me but she is also standing in the foreground by a few inches and has tilted her head to one side. Hats is bending sideways and still has what looks like at least 3 inches on me.
Thank you both for trying to make me feel taller, but the effect was spoiled somewhat by my choosing to stand between esstee and Al, giants both. We look like we're trying to copy the arrangement of the Prealpi Venete in the background, with esstee pretending to be Col Nudo and KTBee being Grappa.

I've got quite a long neck so probably even things out ... anyway, let me know if you ever want to borrow it for a try-out.

Ta, really appreciate it - I'll have Denver work his magic on the Crosscheck tomorrow and then maybe a longish ride on Sunday to try it out and we'll see how I feel then. I'm a bit scared of borrowing a modern road bike as it might* give me the unfightable urge to buy one.
*obviously what I really mean here is "will inevitably"

Who is Brian?
Good boys both.
Branwen is a strong rider who came on Gulliver's Travels #2 and Brian is the Kilburn publican who lavished superb hospitality on those who travelled to his pub, on Guinness, Lucky No. 7

Lols, we're taking a publican on tour? Like this trip wasn't going to be boozy enough?

^^ Thanks. I've had the pleasure of riding with Sam quite a lot, so I think he knows what he's let himself in for. The others of you I feel sorry for ;)

short arse, didn't translate well in belgian french..

What is belgian food like? The only things I know of that I would eat, what with being a relatively fussy vegetarian and all, are waffles, chocolate and beer.
-
• #65
Frites
-
• #66
That is all you need in terms of food. Beer is the other thing you need.
-
• #67
You're quite right. Thanks!
-
• #68
Hehe, I did suggest to al that I would probably be fine with frites and mayo :)
-
• #69
Branwen, as you decided that I was in charge of choosing vegetarian options you have opted out of having anything OTHER than frites and mayo, washed down with copious beer. Hope that's okay.

ask Gretha and Jan to sort you both out with a cheese fondue one night..
i'm sure they could rustle up pizzas, risottos, pasta dishes x
... well I sort of assumed they were the same size because I think we're the same-ish height, and the geo of the allez and the langster are quite similar ... but anyway, the offer's there.
