Wasn't there a model that had 3 guides along the top, that had real fancy chromed lugwork?
Can't remember the model name for the life of me. -

Do the over BB cable guide and over chainstay cable stop, but braze-on DTS, front mech and TT cable guides help to pin the date down?
-
• #30
that would indicate 70's with cable over bb, I have one
but with two tt cable guides,
and no fd braze on, uses a clamp one
you need lugg, bb underside and drop out picsto be sure

It may well be an early 70's Colnago but need to close ups of lug work and bb to clarify whether it is a Colnago or not and if so from what era?

Having over BB cables but those braze-ons, I guess that it was made during the transition period when builders were adopting braze-ons and wondered if Colnago took their time over this, or introduced them quite quickly.

I think the use Campagnolo BB cable guides, hard to see Campag script as painted

vendor should really show pics by now

From the single pic, the lug work certainly looks Colnago late 70s... super cheap and bargain for someone out there...
Decals look good but the colours/paintwork... not very desirable... A nice Guiseppe Saronni red just like Saarf lovely reference will do it some real justice or a dark metallic gunmetal champagne colour, something more classy then yellow and purple... Yuck!

Nice frame, good luck with the purchase Chris... absolute bargain!
But an uplift will transform it into something special... Abraço! ccChris, Mr Costa is totally right!!! Speak to Mario Vaz about getting a respray...the money you have saved on the frame...ie..about a ton...throw about another £20 at it (depending what you go for...in all fairness having it merckx molteni orange would suit it really well...and as it's a basic colourway with decals it wouldn't be anything like expensive...;D) and that would get you something luscious...really sweet...if you Pm Costa he should have marios details and the correct spec for the paint and decals etc...whichever colourway you choose...his knowledge of 'Nags...is huge...
This may be a naive assumption on my part not being an expert on Colnagos, but is there not a serial number that can be referred to?
