Seatbolt snapping is pretty common in your basic average seatpost, you usually get a clue before it happens in the form of creaking.
Just get a new bolt.

Are those backwards mounted drops? Also, glad you didn't hurt yourself with the seatpost thing, could have been nasty!

Yup backward compact dirt drops.. Was surprised how i escaped without more injuries/damage to the bike itself... it happened so fast without any warning.. fell right off the back of it with my full weight on the seat fully spinning downhill.... scrapes on knees and bars but that's it

Not going to reuse due to losing the bottom part of the seat clamp/ condition of post after having to use a pipe wrench to free it from the frame

... not sure what is unbelievable about cockpit setup that would require a video for confirmation?.. stem is longer than i prefer to ride with ass in the saddle, hence need for sweep back from bars... knees stay tight to the top tube when pedaling so the width isn't an issue
will update with saddle pics...

Hovering the seat to hold track stand but you get the point...
today is supposed to clear up so deep drops are going back on weather pending
-
• #1162
roads were dry enough to get into the deep drops... less bumpy than expected going back to inline post/stretched stem.. feels comfier than with steep stem/track bars but probably not as aero
Upside down laps with Comparison setup... before the seat post Fail catastrophe

steep stem/track drops felt nice and compact slicing through the wind...
... modified my cycle cap yesterday to look more official when riding all travel paths -
