.
To be honest, if I wanted to ride in the Surrey Hills, as an example, I'd get the train because getting there from North London is fucking shit.

Not this weekend, had a great time doing RP laps on saturday then got lost, soaked and freezing yesterday in middlesex, I know which one I would repeat intentionally.

I got the train to RP because I didn't want to start my ride wet.

I also like riding in the Surrey Hills, despite their ridiculously inconsiderate location.
Am I allowed to use the train from Norwich to get there, or should I htfu?

It only takes about 20 mins to get out north of london.
Once you pass barnet its all good

Riding down to Surrey/Kent from North London just means you get a warm up and a headstart on the soft southerners.

also means you dont have the worry of a brakkless panasonic with chain snap behind you going down a hill......

Im not averse to getting a train out to west london, it can be quicker and I can read the paper before starting my ride.
