Seriously?
Yes I am very lucky but I still don't just have money to throw at everything, when I'm at school I don't eat lunch so I have more money to save for my bike stuff. -

As food goes chicken wings are pretty fucking cheap.

How old do you think i am?

This is looking to be one of the longest current projects in LFGSS history. 183 post before even taking ownership of the frame

Lost my train of thought at chicken wings... What were we talking about?
-

Wasn't just referring to this particular build... Fucksake, take a look at your overall lifestyle and material possessions in comparison to an average working class 15 year old. Nothing wrong with being rich or middle-class, but frankly you wouldn't know skimp if it fucked you in the ass.
Pretty out of order.

I think you're 19
19-4=15
I am 15 so there is no point comparing my life of living with my parents to yours of being a student. -

You assuming things about my life after only knowing what I've written online. All of which could be bullshit btw.

In what respect?
If you don't know, I'm not going to be the one to tell you.
-

Not that I'm accusing anyone on this thread of it, but inverse snobbery and feelings of a need to 'deserve' your bike or whatnot is pretty fucking common in the bike world
-
• #194
Never experienced that myself, but I wouldn't be surprised.

^^I think I'm probably guilty of that, and I suppose it's just from jealousy on my part. I remember 10 years ago a £150 CBR mountain bike was a massive deal and definitely all my parents could afford, let alone me. I was just wondering how a 15 year old could afford a full carbon bike when my income began with a £3.60/ph job when I was 16. Still can't really afford a Seta now.

Well as I said insurance payed for the frame and cranks and I payed very little for all the components.
-
• #197
I'd never be able to afford this if were all new/full price.

At the end of the day, Indra's, or his family's, financial situation, is none of our business.
A bit of banter around his ability to acquire nice things seems to me, alright (although my moral compass isn't neccessarily the best to follow...) there is a line though.
I'm sure we all have things we'd rather not advertise... I have alot of nice bikes and bits, how do I afford them? I work my arse off, and my landlady is my mum.
