Strong pace there. Had a bunch of strava beeps in my inbox in the last hour or so, so assume everyone's getting home about now.

Cheers, was hoping to crack 20mph though, nevermind. There were some dudes taking things ultra seriously. Aerobar central.

Hovis did you ask me where the sign-on was this morning? Rolla cap and black jersey. I haz fixie-skidd=r
-
• #205
Could have been me, but I was wearing rolla jersey and lfgss cap!

Just got in, great fun and couldn't have asked for better weather. Pace was pretty quick, had problems finding a group with a comfortable pace, was either waaay too slow or waaay too fast. Only averaged 17.7mph but with riding to the start and back, I hit 109miles which I'm quite chuffed with.
Only saw one crash and that was some guy coming into the feed station, poor chap, suddenly bit the dust for no apparent reason. -

Got up late and cycled the Thames path instead. Pub stops and gelato. It was awful

On a Look, yeah? You looked to srs bzns for us, well me at least, can't speak for KTB.

Even more glad that I went once round the block to tick over to 110miles now :D
Really excellent day, great company from KTB, excellent route and perfect weather for it.

So disappointed that you lot didn't get to experience the epic-headwind epic-downpour that is the proper Easter Classic experience :(
-
• #210
Ha, yeah it was really hard to remember that cycling is all about speed and suffering at times
-
• #211
Actually it's all about the date slice
Lovely ride, lovely day - thanks for the great company Branwen. -
• #212
Jesus, that date slice was unreal, so good
-
• #213
missed it. came down really ill today.
well done all those that did it.

Ai, that was definitely me. Now I feel silly for not recognizing you, sorry about that. Perhaps I felt bewildered by arriving to such lycra and many carbon.

Must be a 6pt only thing.

• #215
When that headwind is blowing on the way back you don't half know about it.

Haha, yep! i did wonder if it was you, but I don't remember the beard?
-
• #217
Yeah I guess it could be considered a beard now. Previously it was lazy induced stubble and now its untamed patchy beard.

Just found the picture set linked on the Islington CC microcosm:

Pretty sure I had a mouthful of hot cross bun at that point - otherwise, I have no idea why I'm pulling that face.
-
• #220
Perhaps. Meta data shows that islington CC were ahead of us by 5 min at that point so we probably did well to catch them ... (four times!)

I've signed up for this again this year - anyone else doing it?
-
• #222
Yep! Looking forward to it, not just for the incredible cake at the food stop
-
• #223
Hmm I should put my name down for it, was fun last year
-
• #225
I will be epically slow, so won't be forcing anyone to ride with me, but would be nice to see some familiar faces out there.

No I didn't. Will next year though, perfect route for it.
Anyways, cracking ride, weather was brilliant and the route was great. The little hill at the end was a nice ending. I pissed off some group riders near the start when I was in front of them and then went straight when I should have turned left. They got overly angry and cursed at me :( Bunch of cunts
I think the route changed slightly from last year as there was major confusion when garmins were saying straight but signs were saying left.
Anyways, loved it. Shame you couldn't join 6pt.
How did everyone else get on?
