If anyone's staying in Portsmouth (might be cheaper?) give us a PM. There's myself and Charlie and a few other boys that'll be happy to show you where to get a beer on the Saturday evening.
Fo shaw.

I'm probably out, working weekends and doing long rides around the isle of wight don't mix. Can probably get off the sunday for the track day, but sleeping over as i want to do isn't really going to work..

Mrs Ludd and smallest Luddlet now registered too. Might make a long weekend of it if we can find somewhere to camp. Is the Kite Hill site near wootton a good one?

WightLink ferries are doing a special advanced rate for the Randonee. £55 return for a car with up to 6 occupants, valid 3-7 May.

Sadly I am no longer able to do this ride as have been off the bike for 6 weeks and no sign of getting back on soon (health reasons - yawn).
FYI I tried a few times (both phone and email) to get in contact with the tipi place near ryde but it appears that they have shut up shop, as I'm getting no response.

Back on the 5th and will investigate. Anyone up for doing this at an unsocialable pace?

Hello team lfgss - my wife-to-be is having her hen that weekend and I am required to be absent from Saturday morning. This looks like a fun alternative to crashing on a mate's sofa!
If the teepees are a non-starter, I have 2 x two-person tents (the smaller one is a bit cosy for two) that I could bring plus assorted other camping gear to keep the budget low.
I'm not bold enough to usurp T4 in the #1 spot:

Doing this with a few family members (3 of us on fixed), think I need to make some modifications to my current 50/15 setup though :/
Looking forward to it, camping for a few days so hopefully it'll be nice weather. If any of you pass a fella on a black Dolan give me a shout!

Okay so I'm back in the country and happy to take this over. I have a friend who's parents own a farm just outside of Rye. He's a bit of a cyclist and, apparently, wouldn't be fussed by a bunch of LFGSS peeps turning up, having a laugh and going for a ride.
Is anyone interested in exploring this further? It looks like we'd have the numbers tent-wise
Other option is to do it in a day faith out camping...

I'd forgotten about this... Sadly they must have sold out as registration is closed early:(
Unless anyone has an unwanted place? :)

I have one, which is to start in East Cowes if that helps?
-
• #74
You can obviously still ride without registering, you just wont get a nice little card with stamps on it.

Well, yes, but it's a bit cheeky. So I'll have yours, if you dont mind. Thanks!
Don't know where team LFGSS's official start is?
What's wrong with odd numbered cogs?
I'd recommend 42:17 or 48:19.
