Yeah basically, although we generally just have it on the curfew (timer) mode. You also get the in/out status of your cat(s).
Cleo is in and out like a fucking yo-yo! 😂

So she can't make up her mind then? Can we have her as our PM instead? At least there is a cute face to look at on the news...

...when there snoozing and cuddling you on your lap and you have your phone, they are watching this.......they know....they will plot....and one morning you'll wake up and wonder how your phone got knocked from your bedside table down the stairs and smashed into a 1000 pieces without you even waking up.............................cats................

But they also know that square brick controls the cat flap so instead of locking it about, I think they’d learn how to sue ti to let themselves in and out as they please and depends how much much they get on with each other, they might even want to lock each other in / out...
But yeah, same conclusion... cats...

Jose's favourite sleeping spot. There are beds, sofas, cushions, and a comfy cat bed. But no, he likes the stairs.

Happy 10th birthday to Dizzy, my beloved oversized floof. She’s out sunning herself on the deck so here’s her a bit earlier getting tummy rubs.

Fun times tonight pulling a massive clump of matted shit and fur out of my cats bumhole after I noticed him dragging his arse along the floor immediately after doing his business. That was quite funny for a second, the following 2 minutes less so. While he seems to have forgotten about it completely I can't shift a slight gaggy feeling.

Gotta take Patch to the vet and am booking a taxi now, they basically told me there would be an extra £2.5 for a cat in a box because it’s not their standard service, when I told them half the time their drivers won’t even give a shit or be told the customers have booked a pet friendly car, they then basically told me that the additional cost is to ensure that I as the passenger am happy travelling with a pet in their car
Uber it is then...
FYI anyone who take their cats out in taxi...

I once had to rush one of my cats to the vet when an abscess burst, my g/f was at work with the car so I put him in his box and strapped him to the back of my Honda and rode to the vet, albeit slowly. All the staff came out to watch when we left.

Dizzy had very long fur on her hind quarters and has had the shits several times. It means donning workshop gloves and getting her in the bath with some unscented shampoo and the shower head and working it all out. It’s usually a two-man job, she doesn’t get too fighty but she just tries to gently crawl away. There’s no way I can use the hairdryer on her afterwards to it’s lots of towelling and brushing down and reassuring her before she settles down to a mammoth grooming session to sort herself out again. The shit doesn’t bother me any more tbh.

I took Cleo on the overground once, she seemed ok with it (more so than the noisy street when we arrived).

Problem is we live in Camberwell and the vet is in East Dulwich, so there isn’t any straight forward way to get there - I think it’s like 2 buses and if we take the train, it’d be a 10mins walk to Denmark Hill and another 10 mins walk from East Dulwich, so we usually just take a taxi.
Mind you, I couldn’t get an Uber on way back so I went for Ad Lee and just opted for the standard service and the driver didn’t care a bit. In fact, we had a jolly chat about cats and children...
I think if the drivers get the premium then I’d have less of a problem with the extra £2.5 but I doubt they do... maybe I am wrong... 🤷🏻♀️

I have a front rack on my commute bike and I am always tempted as she is only 4.5kg, but I worry if I crash... and man she moves a lot when in a box...

My wife once strapped Dizzy’s cage to the back of her pub bike and cycled to the vet, about 1.25 miles away. She yowled all the way there.
Have you thought of popping her into a backpack? -

Luckily, being a shorthair, we don't have that problem with Buddy, but this was sort of half-in-half-out which was bit weird. I was just thankful as I thought it might be a massive worm at first, and even if it was just hair, better out than in I suppose.

Yes actually! I thought about getting one of those space looking backpack for cats, but then I decided against it’d can’t remember why. Might look into this again. Problem is I don’t know how she’d like it not being about to sit flat inside something, she has developed a real bad problem with travel sickness... 🤔

I guess that as most cats like being curled up in enclosed spaces then a bag might not be a bad idea. You could always leave one open and let her crawl in and try it out?

You mean like this?

We have a catflap installed in the wall by previous owners. We bought this one to replace it but never got around to it (hence new in box).
We're moving house on Friday so surplus to requirements.
