Has anyone on here adopted a cat with FIV? We went to view some yesterday, and now my partner is like "we need to think about it" and I'm like "lets just adopt all the cats", she is worried that the cat will need to be at the vets all the time and it'll be expensive...any tips on adopting a cat with FIV / persuading the partner?

Thanks, we’re pretty sad and the house is very quiet without his stupid foghorn meow but our remaining cat is being very affectionate and I’m enjoying the cat pictures here. More please!

I know he was only a cat but he was such a gregarious little character and I’d mentally written him into our future, assuming he’d be around for the next chapter of life (non-fur babies etc).
It was nice talking to neighbours though and finding out that they all knew him and enjoyed him playing in their gardens (and eating their food haha!) -

He was your cat. Sorry for your loss, it is like losing a part of your world.

There’s nothing wrong with being upset at losing a pet. I lost my cat Popeye to a car some years back, and I was distraught. I didn’t get another cat for over 5 years because of it.

It’s not the parts mate, it’s the labour.

Be more concerned if you weren't upset. I like my cats more than I like people.

Sorry to hear that D_H 😔
These two have been getting along much better of late, with Millie (our original black n white) now coming into the living room to play.
Tony has been venturing outside more and he came in last night looking well pleased with his first mouse.

So, we adopted Euronymous. He's pretty much just chilling out under the sofa, except for eating or going to the toilet, seems to be slowly settling in.

nice mats for his feeding area :D
any idea what happened to his ear ? was it during capture after killing his previous owners in thier sleep? ;)

That face says check your shoes and sleep with one eye open.

His folded ear was due to an ear infection apparently, he's had a hard life, he also got no fangs, 3 shaved bits of fur, and FIV... all things considered he seems to be settling well it's just taking a while, he's way less shy than he was when we brought him home 2 weeks ago.
The mat is useful as he's a really messy eater.
He does look a bit pissed off doesn't he, I can assure you though he's chill.

good work Dogs FIV cats are ok they just need to be indoor cat. he looks to have a lot of character.
In foster land we have two very scared and human hating cats been a month and they still hide no petting yet slowly slowly.
