On a sidenote do these heated cloth driers work well?

Yeah, they're great. Cheap to run and we can dry a whole washing load on the three tier one we have. Clothes smell nice rather than damp after drying on normal airers.

You need a well ventilated room obvs as they give off plenty of moisture during the drying process.

We got ours from lakeland.

somewhere I have a photo of a very battle-scarred old farm cat sitting on top of an incubator for chicken eggs, it was January and the barn was freezing, but it looked very comical as if it was just waiting for them to turn into little snacks.

How about you allow the cat to be on the fishtank, then then the cat won't be on the fishtank? Cats always do the opposite?

Seconded, they're really good. We've got the same one as in the pic, costs peanuts to run and dries well. A good tip is to take a duvet cover and drape it over the loaded dryer like a sack and it really keeps the heat in.

Oddly enough, Dizzy hasn't worked out how to sit on it. God help us if she does.

Weighed Higgs today, bang on 5kg which is what she should be. She's much happier than she was when she was a fatty, and is sat next to me on the sofa as I type this.
