Gets chairs recovered, Fleur claims them before I’ve finished refitting them.

Yeah, I think it's from an animal rescue place or something. I doubt a wild mountain lion would let you give it a bath... That said, cats can be pretty manipulative.

Ha! I used to see someone walking their cat snake in the park where we used to live. Away from the greyhounds, mind.

Wow!
What a cat!How much does it weigh?
-
• #6783
He's about 10.5kg and rather food orientated so maybe could do with loosing 0.5.
He was adopted by friends who have another Main Coon, but they dog board and he's become a bit of a recluse hiding upstairs most of the time to avoid the dogs.
He's soft as muck, so hopefully our current mog won't be too harsh with him. She was a feral kitten that adopted us and she's always been rather handy in a scrap with the local cats and dogs. German Shepherd and Staffy don't play anymore!

Only three hours and Tony seems to have settled in without any commotion.
We had a weigh in on Tester approved scales whilst he was still in the carrier. 8.7kg so about rightMeanwhile grumpy cat has spent the entire time hissing and growling from a safe distance.

Well now grumpy cat has to share everything, don't blame him for being even more grumpy from now on... :-P

Tony has definately settled in now. Millie is a tint bit more accepting, but shes still growling and hissing on her way past. However mutual love of roast chicken lured them both together... briefly.
He managed to get out the catflap with a squeeze, but being a bit portly he struggled to get back in. So I've just replaced it with the Sureflap pet door.

Nice.
Good luck with your cats becoming friends!
I grew up with a lot of cats and there were always some dying and then others joined the group and long story short you just can't force it, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't..
I cat-sitted for a friend two years ago who got three that don't like each other at all, that was a pain, you always had to seperate them at dinner time otherwise the strongest / bulliest one would eat all their food.
Cats can be assholes!

Thanks.
Their food and water are still separate. Hers upstairs, being as she predominantly lives in the spare room. His down in the kitchen. So there's not too much competition over normal food.

Coonies are the best cats evah. Dizzy is a female so a bit smaller but she's still about 5kg.

I need some advice!
So Patch is always an outdoor cat and she always insists of going to the toilet outside or she just holds it in (I have had to lock her in pre and post op and sometimes I just forgot to unlock the flap etc). There is always a clean litter tray there just in case and I replace the litter once a month or so to keep it fresh even when it's not been touched at all.
BUT! Since Sunday, she has been using the tray pretty much bang on 7:45am every monring and I think she used it one evening at well. The only change is the type of litter because the usual stuff ran out from the shop. Could it be the reason why she's started using the tray again? Because she hated the old type of litter and loves the new stuff?
I still don't understand why would she only use it once a day? Because this suggests to me she still goes to the toilet outside.
There is nothing wrong with the wee as far as I can see, no blood, no more or less than what I'd expect, so I am sure she is physically healthy.
I don't want to call the vet because I have done it a few times in the past for worry over nothing and everytime I call, they make very detailed note of our conversations and that's good because just in case nothing turns into something, but I have been caught out by the insurance company and they have imposed exclusions on my policy because I have very casually mention somehting that isn't a problem medically (and confirmed by the vet), but the insurer chooses to interpret it in a way that benefits them. So I don't want to have to go down that arguing and explaining route again unless I have to.
Any idea other than she is a cat therefore she is a jerk?

I have read that a change in litter can have the opposite effect, ie the cat is used to one type and doesn't like the change. I would stick with this new litter as Patch is using it and don't want to disrupt things.
Sounds like Patch is going outside and in, which I would say is normal. Ours almost always go in the tray indoors but have caught them doing it in the garden!!
It doesn't sound like there is anything to worry about. Main thing is that she going!

Also, she just probably being a jerk.

Mine can go weeks without using the tray, and then just randomly starts using it again, probably because it's wet or cold or both.
It's an elaborate joke, right?
