  • thanks, the results of the urine test came back showing that the sample was contaminated with something (probably specks of cat litter, not sure I cleaned the tray out well enough) so I have to provide a second sample now, frustrating.

  • On the food subject we go with Natures Menu

    https://www.naturesmenu.co.uk/

I get it on Amazon and as you can order it through Prime you can get it delivered same day.

  • Shame it doesn't come in a flesh version...

  • I had a snow leopard bengal like this 10 years ago, he was a complete nutter. Constantly fighting, so many trips to the vets to get abscesses drained. He died quite young (10) with a heart issue, the epitome of 'live fast, die young'. His brother lasted till he was 15, allot more sedentary. We now have a 3rd bengal who is a cross between the two, murderous but relaxed.

  • Are all Bengals murdery? I know someone that had one and you couldn't shoe it off a chair like you could with the normal one, without loosing some skin.

  • One of ours is a Bengal mix (rescue cat so unknown 'provenance'). He'll murder toys but is the most mild mannered cat otherwise. Coming up to two years old now and has yet to bite, scratch, swipe, growl or hiss at anyone or anything that isn't a feather on a piece of string.

  • We have never had an issue with any of our 3 over the years. The Kids used to pickup the older ones and the latest one is really very tolerant. I have read though that a Bengal is wired to hunt, sleep and eat in that order. all of ours have been that way, all small animals are fair game. Very affectionate towards humans and like to interact but very murderous to anything small and furry.

  • All of this, has the most ‘couldn’t give a fuck’ attitude of any cat I have seen.

  • Yup. Same.

This is how Hendricks spends most of his time:

  • Sounds like a grumpy cat. Had a cat like that for a while.

  • Next door neighbour had Bengals before she moved out. I loved them, our cat less so. They were amazingly inquisitive and always trying to get in through windows etc. I once made the mistake of leaving our patio doors open and found one had wondered in and sprayed on the sofa, whilst our cat was present and apparently not giving a shit. Dare they step on her bit of fence however then it all kicked off.

Since they moved out Splodge is rather more chilled and has recently taken quite a liking to a half unpacked suitcase:

  • This one isn't keen on being picked up but otherwise he is fine. Not a killer either, wanders a bit though. Lovely fur.

  • Just had our neighbour come round and ask whether we feed our cats enough because they are always at their house. The same neighbour that despite us informing them that we were going on holiday and had friends coming round every day to feed the cats, would put extra food out for them. Of course our cats are going to come round begging for food if you start feeding them you pillocks!

  • @MisterMikkel Thanks! They are actually 2 different cats, sisters that are pretty hard to tell apart; one is slightly smaller than the other and one has bigger ear tufts, but we still need to check their collars at times to be sure. Also, they are called Hocus and Pocus, so both respond to the other's name when called.

  • Apologies for spamming the thread lately but Fleur has been particularly photogenic(aside from the eye booger).
