    Why cat's are so amazing.
It didn't think twice, it just charged the dog and sent him flying. Great stuff

  • I can categorically say that cat is a one off. My cat would sit there and yawn and probably run away.

  • Patch has just bought in a bird... Alive... Chasing it round the flat... Now it's barely alive... Screaming... Under the sofa, sofa has been moved,,, but I can't get close enough to rescue the bird... Currently waiting for patch to finish the killing so I can begin with the cleaning... I am truly sorry birdy...

  • no save the bird! and shun the cat away

  • Bird is saved! But cat has chased it to the garden... Good luck birdy... There is nothing more I can do,,,

  • Save the bird then BBQ it! Not.

  • RIP birdy... Patch bought the same bird back again... She was determined to show me how good a hunter she is... Couldn't save the bird 2nd time round...

  • Girlfriend bought a new tray, made the mistake of leaving a blanket on top of it, now it belongs to the cat.

Does Opie always have that slightly evil smile on him??

And are you sure the blanket was put in it by mistake?

  • Blanket was dumped on there by me and then he claimed it, now it gets put there intentionally every night by the gf as he likes sleeping in it...

....and yeah he always has that evil grin.

  • ..as seen in the meme thread..

    : ]

  • There's a cat - I'm hoping from my road - that's been sleeping on my doormat some nights (from what I can tell all night). It is also incredibly playful, I almost have to sneak out the house or sprint out when I have the bike so it doesn't start running between the wheels. When I open the front door it tries to get in, and has done a few times not afraid of a strangers house.

Is it all a massive ploy to get to my poor canary? Or is the cat showing signs of something else? I've no clue when it comes to cats or cat psychology so please help me out cat thread!

  • Just to add to that, it doesn't always do this. So I might not even see it for a couple of days. But when it's there it's really obsessive. I've tried to follow it to see where it lives but to no avail.

  • Sell the house.

  • Is it all a massive ploy to get to my poor canary?

    yes

  • I see...

  • Adopt the cat.

  • and call it sylvester

  • Patch just came home after sunbathing in the gardens (I have no idea which one, but she was nearby) all day... now it's time for a loooooong nap when I need to hoover the flat... perfect timing everytime, well done kitty!

  • Patch sleeps in some manner which incapacitates the vacuum cleaner?

This happened with Maia about a year ago except she brought it back three times and on the fourth attempt at releasing the traumatised creature, a fox lept out of nowhere and grabbed it from my hands...#natureiscruel

  • My cat was scared of the noise of the vacuum (don't blame her) but loved it when I went over her fur with it.

  • Girlfriend bought a new tray, made the mistake of leaving a blanket on top of it, now it belongs to the cat.

Well if I were a cat, I'd claim it as my bed.

Though judging by the paraphernalia in this and your other photos I get the impression you guys like to house-party (or at least drink, smoke, stay up late), so maybe the tray bed isn't in an ideal location... ;)

  • Hah we actually don't. In bed before 11pm most nights. My gf just likes to keep the bottles for candles.

  • Patch sleeps in some manner which incapacitates the vacuum cleaner?

No, I usually try and hoover when she has just gone out, because she is absolutely terrified by the noise. As soon as she sees I approach the hoover, she starts running...

I don't understand why the noise of a hoover... Patch has no problem with the washing machine (which is just a loud when spinning) or the hair dryer... In fact she loves it...

So you would brush her fur with it??? Nice!!
