  • I love every cat here. At a guess we all do.

  • We should do a calendar with cat photos from this thread for 2025 🙂

  • Coffe table book at the minimum

  • Zissou is very compact when she wants to be.

  • Yes!
Cats seem to dig the concept.

  • Ours have favourite places to sleep.
Our bed or the top bunk of the kids bed are favourites.

They also like to sit in the chair you have just got up from or equally the one which you were about to sit down on.

They also know where the hot water pipes are under the floorboards and sit on the warm spot in winter.

  • I am starting a cat furniture business right now, they love one of my designs, will post more soon.

    Please do!

  • Adoption hasn't completed yet. Soon though.

  • Bed, litter and tray, food, brush, few toys, cat carrier. Think we're all set for the basics but anything else to think about ahead of picking up for more immediate use on Saturday?

  • lick-e-lix (suggestion from your future cat)

  • Several food/water bowls. treats. scratching post. Animal friendly cleaning products in case they have accidents (Simple Solution Stain Remover).

Pro recommendation would be a pheromone diffuser (Feliway) to help them relax and settle in. It'll be extremely stressful for them for the first few weeks in a new place.

  • We used that when new cat came to join old cat.
No idea if it helped the cats, but it sure helped us.

  • Ah yes, we have bowls! Will look at some Feliway

  • Grass? Some cats like their cat salad.
Dreamies and/or those disgusting sausage things. Sausage things made our newish cat love us in under 60 seconds when we first saw her at the shelter 😻.

  • scooper for the tray?

  • Our pair Jaime (black, three-legged) and Newton (white, enormous).

  • Brought home this little trooper today. He/she has been holed up in a bush under a bridge for the last few days and was cold, wet and hungry. A friend who works for a rescue charity will pick them up later to take them to an associated vet to check for microchip etc. Given how friendly/comfortable they seem to be I get the feeling this one has been in someone's home and has either gotten lost or been abandoned. For reference the bridge is near an industrial park and the closest homes are on the other side of fenced off railway lines

  • That's great of you, hope cat is well.

  • Prioritising the best part of cat ownership!

  • We have the cat. Been home about half an hour and she's not left her carrier; all about the waiting game. Was ever so calm on the ride home though
