My 13 year old was diagnosed with this nearly a decade ago and is still going strong with no signs of slowing down. One atenolol a day in with food and an aspirin twice a week. We stopped getting her scanned a few years ago as it wasn’t really telling us anything new but I can’t see that it’s limited her life at all. Fingers crossed you have a similar outcome, happy to talk here or via PM if you have any questions

This thread always brings me joy when looking through.
I bought these guys their own blanket/throw but they always want the ones I use. It’s not even fluffy 🥲

Had a home visit from Celia Hammond on Thursday in the hope of getting an indoor cat. Quietly hoping they can match us with an older cat who's very up for sitting around the flat, lounging on the couch and enjoying the natural light we get through the day...

May look at getting a cat with fiv as that usually means they can't go out.

We've said we'll consider anything provided there's nothing particularly troublesome health wise - it's mine and my OH first pet together, so would like something that's fairly easy going
Lady who came over on Thursday said they go through their lists and see who's appropriate for what we're after - she was saying it's tough at the moment with kitten season and trying to rehome so many
Window locks have arrived, hoorah

Our shelter cat is best cat ever.
If you're ok with getting blocked on the sofa for hours. -

Who brushes their cats teeth? My guy's aren't looking great, he's lost one and will need surgery on the root, figure I should probably start brushing, better late than never, refuses to have his claws trimmed these days so I'm sure it'll be fun. Any recommendations for kit appreciated.

I do! I started when they were kittens as Sphynx cats tend to have bad teeth. I have them sit on my lap first, then I use a finger toothbrush as it’s much much easier than a toothbrush plus stomodine which helps big time. Bath, trim nails, brush teeth routine!

Last time I tried that I nearly lost a limb. Seriously would you put your hand in this guys mouth?

Bath, trim nails, brush teeth
You definitely have different cats, not only looks wise.
That would probably take one day if I ever got as far as bath without the cat disappearing forever.
And end up with a lot of stress and injury for all involved if it ever got to teeth time.
Jaffa and Zissou are much happier in each other's company these days.
