They'll want a spot to go and hide where they can feel comfortable. You can't necessarily choose where that is but maybe you can clear a spot under the bed or something

Cosy blanket or clean work clothes... mine will always choose the latter. Also, sleeping in a comfy nest I've lovingly prepared or on an upturned plug at the back of the wardrobe?? Obvs the second option.

This is how the wife has to doom scroll Twitter most nights. Tubs is a cat with no respect for personal space.

They seem pleased to see us after we were away for a week.
Neighbours who were feeding them were a bit worried as they hadn't seen Nico, the tabby; she's a bit nervous of people she doesn't know.

The cats have found that they can jump from the kitchen worktop to the top of the cabinets.
They now hang out up there.

I've just ordered 3 floating shelves, and I'm going to build a staircase of empty shelves for the cats to get up on top of the cabinets more easily.
The drama when we need to do food prep and that's when they decide they now want to come down.

Either get cat specific ones or make sure you carpet them. Cats might injure themselves jumping on slippery surfaces.

That is a good call.
They are real wood, and have a good texture, but still... staple gunning some carpet to them is a good idea.
