How’s Herman doing?

Herman - vet reckoned case of cystitis, gave him a shot of antibiotics, a pain killer - all fine, checked his anal glands... Not sure what Herman's expression was but I've never seen it before. He was back to normal in the afternoon, just got a bit of medication and some special food (which has given him the shits).

Anyone in near bounds green that would like to meet Rambo as he will be alone, apart from when I pop in to feed him.

Yeah, and still not spoken directly to the 'owner'. No good deed goes unpunished. Seems a friend is talking to her and texting me, the owner is not happy that I took the cat, they expected me, a complete random to go and feed the cat at their place. They seem to forget that the front door is boarded up after police and ambulance service gained entry, and none of the neighbours gave a shit about a house cat that was outside for a few days.

At least his fleas are treated and gave him a good combing to get the flea and flea eggs off his fur. He is a really placid, just got to tell him what I am doing and he accepts it and even grooms me after.

Our cat just took a leak in our sofa. Our fault as it didn’t have access to the litter box.

Any good tips for getting rid of the smell? Castrated female if that matters

Our old cat got into the habit of pissing everywhere when his arthritis pain got bad so we are well drilled in this.

Its a really big ask to remove cat piss smell from a sofa to a level that you or your cat can't detect but your best hope is to use an enzyme based cleaner.

We got through several 5l bottles of this one. Its as good as you can get.

What ever you do, don't use bleach! A friend moved into a house that had cats. Between him signing the contract and moving in, the cats had pissed all over the place and the letting agent tried to get rid of the smell with bleach, it still stank when he moved out a year later.

Ah ok; a pity it is complicated like that.

By common sense you still did the right thing and that cat is thankful for sure!

Guess that person is quite stressed out at the moment with the hospital situation, on top of fucking Covid etc. - and maybe it came across as if you wanted to really steal the cat from her..
..maybe there's a way to communicate via that friend that you just wanted to help out and do good?

She’s done this a few times before, but always when she hasn’t had access to the litter box. Never twice in the same place either.

I got a new alarm clock - a sunrise clock that is meant to gently wake you up with a gradual light and the tweeting of birds. Turns out it's quite effective at waking me up, albeit not gently, as Celeste is fascinated by it and tries to attack it when it comes on.
