Fantastic Friday Rule-Break Bonanza.
Ok, so the current tag (which I thought was an excellent idea, ha!), has fallen on its arse and sucked all game momentum, so (new rule?) because it's been well over a week, the tag is being changed by the rider who posted (somewhere more central, to get wheels rolling again).

OLD/TO BE REPLACED:
Under M60 Barton Bridge, probably just about in Eccles.

NEW:
Clue: just off a stretch of road that is disproportionately busy at this time of year due to new arrivals. Bonus point for whoever can list all the 'gold' items present in the photo.

Wasted 10 mins on Google Maps (thought it was somewhere central from the style of architecture) wandering around and now know where it is, but don't have time to tag before the weekend.
Give-away clue: street name synonymous with expensive handbags.
