"It's an extension of who you are". He is certainly an extension I'd say.

Just tried to rebuild a couple of EvoD coil heads...
First one went OK, the second one shorted out two of my Ego-T batteries... Fuck...
Down to one battery, and that one's charging as we speak... FML!!!

This is worse than my attempts at being a bike mechanic...

It's worth it when you get it right. I rebuilt a T3S with microcoil and cotton the other day. Tasted awful and pissed eliquid all over the place. Just the way it goes sometimes.

For anyone considering an RSST purchase, they can be had for £14.99 here:

Just rebuilt an EvoD head with six coils of 0.2mm Kanthal and some cotton wool... 2.4Ω, could probably get it lower next time...
It works amazingly!!!

I've been exchanging emails with Tim at Trip Hammer over the last few days...
He says it's no surprise I've been having problems with stock EvoD coils as his juices are designed for higher end/high power set-ups... Nice guy, great juice...

Nice work! It's generally easier to recoil an atomiser that is designed to be rebuildable, so you are well on your way to never having to put up with shoddy coils again.
I'd guess 4 wraps would give you about 1.8, as there will still be the legs running down to the base.

Butters - I've been meaning to do this for ages but have been too caught up in other stuff.
Thank You
Thank you for your advice back in November when I was contemplating getting into vaping, tomorrow will see my 16th week of not smoking, something I previously considered impossible.
I feel better, I look better and I smell better and a lot of that is down to the advice you gave at the start of this journey.
I've spent lots of money but that doesn't matter and anyway, that's what credit cards are for!
I've ditched all the starter stuff and I'm now happily vaping a 18350 nemesis with a KFL nano and a 18350 Chi You with a fogger. I've got three drippers, two gennies and I ordered more stuff from fastech yesterday.
So cheers fella, you and others on this thread have changed my life for the better.
Keep up the good work!

Aw, that's nice... :)
I've just spunked just under a hundred quid on a Vamo V5 and Genesis RSST plus associated bits and bobs... It's my birthday on Saturday so I'm treating myself...
+1 to what BG said... Always great advice, Ben!

Good luck with the RSST - I have two AGA T's and I can't get 'em working properly.
Its easy to spend money on this hobby but it doesn't bother me, I'm not buying fags so I have money to spend.
Happy Birthday for Saturday
Cheers

No worries dude - I'm glad it helped!
Holy smokes that's a lot of nice kit you have got. Is it all from FastTech? I still haven't got anything from them, because I always want it pronto when I decide to pull the trigger. If it's from FastTech, have you had any problems with any of it?

Fuck me. That looks like a lightsabre.
Not trolling. Just wondering if there are any products out there that take replaceable batteries and don't require a backpack to carry around.

No worries Joe!
I have also struggled with Genesis attys. In case it helps anyone, I'm running my RSST with 2mm SS rope, 2mm Ekowool sleeve over the rope and 3 wraps of 0.8 x 0.1 ribbon wire at 0.6 ohm. I don't get any hotspots and there are no wicking issues, but the taste is a bit muted. It definitely needs the big power for this setup, which isn't really achievable with Vamos or 18350s. It might not matter so much with stronger flavour juices like the Trip Hammer tobaccos. I'm normally on Mrs Lords Custard Creams, which is quite a delicate flavour.
During phone calls today, I've been making a solid SS mesh wick so that I can try this in my Kraken:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp-8vSTWw2E
I need a solid wick as the Kraken doesn't have a fill port plug and the solid wick should prevent leaking through this fill port. They don't have a plug as it allows air to enter the tank and aid wicking apparently. Fingers crossed.

Butters - Naw, my Chi and fogger were bought second hand, the KFL and nano kit brand new from Cloud 9 (that hurt the credit card).
The gennies and the drippers were second hand.
Only thing I have bought from f/t is the nemesis and a couple of flat tops for the Chi - yeah, you wait a while but its a nice surprise when the packet arrives. First order took six weeks, second order using Singapore post took just under three weeks.
Prices are mental but you need to do your research on what is good value and what is junk.
Hope that helps

Ah I see. Quite a collection!
I'm on the lookout for a decent dripper. Perhaps FT will get another order soon.

Any suggestions for needle bottles that don't leak? I'm flying a lot at the moment and mine keeps leaking in whatever bag I put it in
-
• #422
I'm not sure about needle bottles that don't leak, but perhaps there is another way....
Assuming the cabin pressure is lower than normal non-aeroplane pressure, then the bottles are leaking because they are at a higher pressure than the cabin after take off. So, if you avoid filling your bottles to the top and squeezed all of the air out of the bottle before take off, the bottle would grow in size but not leak as there is room for the liquid to grow without leaving the container. Or have i cocked up my physics.
-
• #423
Or maybe it would work if you kept the bottle upright, so only the air escapes out of the needle.

This might also work, but it's less interesting from a scientific point of view:

Just tried a four coil rebuild, also works well... Maybe too well!
Slightly darker, less sweet taste... Oh, man, this great...
Yep - the nicotine breaks down I think. That's why you are supposed to keep it in a cool, dark place. I think the dark bit is the most important. I keep mine in a shoe box.
