  • pic not working?

  • Hi all,
Would welcome a bit of advice - been vaping for about six months on an evod and vision spinner variable voltage battery and looking to upgrade.

Torn between just getting a kanger aerotank mini or going for an ego one kit with the option of trying a bit of sub ohming (not sure this will be my thing but would like to try).

Ultimately I would like to start building my own coils but a bit lost on the best way to get into this from my basic starter kit!

  • I can heartily recommend the KayFun Lite, not too difficult to get going and a really good vape... Some of the clones are pretty good, I've heard excellent reviews for the 91% Russian... A lot cheaper than the real thing...

I've paired mine with a Sigelei 30W mini, the two work really well together and it's really easy to change batteries out, no boring unscrewing of cases... That's if you want a box mod, lots of other conventional mods around... I'd go variable rather than mechanical just cuz they're so much easier to use, I've had both and settled on variable mods...

  • The Ego One mini kit is really good with the sub-ohm heads, but I found the 1.3ohms heads aren't as good in terms of taste. Also, if you take the smaller battery, it really doesn't last long with the sub-ohm heads. I haven't heard about the bigger of the two.

Personally I'd god with an istick and Aerotank, which will give you all the otpions you mentioned.
Eleaf also just released a Temperature Control istick that'll allow you to use all the aerotank heads: Nickel, kanthal 1.2 and sub-ohm heads and the rebuildable deck.

If I were to purchase any new piece of kit I'd go for istick TC and aerotank... Even if you don't use the temperature control you'll get a very good combo.

  • I second all of that

  • Thanks both - good advice there. (Same person as user55587 - not sure why I was signed in differently in my phone...)

After a bit of research I think I have made a decision - I have ordered an ego one for now as I think the kayfun plus box seems a little steep for my current habit (wasn't too sure about going with a clone first time round). Apparently the new CLR rebuildable heads for the ego one are much better flavour wise than the stock 1 ohm so have some of those on the way too.

This way I think I can upgrade as time and money allows to maybe a 30w mini and a kayfun lite if I feel I need it! I'll let you know how I get on.

  • Just stay below 5 volts, you don't want any nasty formaldehydes in your vapour...

  • is that the magic number?

  • Yup... According to the last research I saw anyway...

  • anyone wanna buy my custom drilled Aspire Nautilus? one airflow setting, which is good for mouth to lung but also lung hit party... also replaced the glass with the criss cross cover as that makes the glass more protected.

    great tank.. 5ml capacity.

  • Can you vape THC? Not really in to smoking as thats just plain bad and nomming it isn't always feasible.

  • Get a vaporiser... Arizer V-Tower Extreme Q is good... 😋

  • Aha! That looks interesting... Expensive though.

  • So there seems to be vape machines for "herbal" blends that differ from the normal liquid type.
    This is interesting.

  • get the snoop lion pen

  • Pax 2 looks sweet...

  • Don't know anyone that's used that, I've heard good things about the Solo and the Flight Box from mates...

The V-Tower is expensive (nowhere near as expensive as a Volcano) but it's great, we've got one in the house...

  • Subtank on rRNA 40. Perfect. Not even bothered about it not being 22mm because it vapes so well. Using the RBA head (@0.59Ω 21W)

  • I'm after a new one, don't really wanna be messing about with coils and cotton etc...anyone used the ego one from joytech?

  • You can have your Roller back! Still doesn't work...

  • Those do look good. Also interested.

  • So as a bit of an update on my post above I have ended up with the setup below - Eleaf Istick 40WTC and a Goblin Mini RTA (not the easiest of decks to learn to build on I'm told but it has been OK so far). Very happy with the size and capability of the setup to be honest.

I decided against the Ego One just because I wanted to get building on a proper deck but did buy a Subtank Mini as a back up with it's OCC coils in case I faffed up my first builds but it hasn't seen much use and the Goblin seems to vape so well and is half the size!

Considering letting the Subtank Mini go if anyone is interested? £15 posted (RBA never used, just OCC coils).

Thanks again for the advice posted above!

PS - Rapha essentials case is great as a vaping supplies case!

  • got myself a rockz modz abs mod and loving it. cheap, takes 3 18650's for super safe sub ohm (spreads the amperage over the batteries), nice volt meter. also got a 26650 dripper (the buddha), massive quad coils, daft clouds.
