Probably a repost but I hate plastic parts like cranks and mtb levers on BSO's, they do have steel underneath the plastic but not enough to stop the flexing.

Leftys are sexy.
Marmite but I agree.
I'd have one if I could rebuild it without shooting roller bearings into my face.

You either love it, or you hate it...

what the fuq problem could you have with a tyre that costs £16, grips like a really grippy thing lasts ages and is lighweight and rolls acceptably well.

Yeah. Good resistance to road debris too. I'm baffled.

Not sure if troll or just knows nothing about tyres.

Go on, what's wrong with the poor Rubino then?
Assuming it is the Rubino you are talking about.

I had a set of Rubinos Pro Slicks lying around from when I bought a wheelset tat had them on.
I needed some new tyres so thought if give them a go.
I loved them for the first week or so, then I got a puncture, and another and another.
I then skidde through the rear in just over 3 weeks (It takes me around 3 months to skid trough an armadillo)
Then one night I set out with the tyre only at about 90 PSI, it was raining and when I took the first corner it rolled off and threw me to the ground. -

I loved them for the first week or so, then I got a puncture, and another and another. - bad luck
I then skidde through the rear in just over 3 weeks (It takes me around 3 months to skid trough an armadillo) - get a brake

also used tyres tend not to last as long as new ones.

A particularly tatty front I received with a pair of wheels as 'protection from scratches' lasted me another 4K London commuting miles...without a hitch.
I like Rubinos - but can understand if you don't.

I'm not a massive fan of any Vittoria tyres, found any I've tried to be very difficult to fit, not overly strong/puncture resistant/long lasting for skids and think there are better tyres for similar £££. I wouldn't say I hate them though.

^Love the randonneurs for puncture portection, seem indestructible.
On the other hand a combination of randonneurs and rigida chrina rims means that i have to take my steel tyre levers everywhere I go if I want to fix a puncture should I get one.
You need tyre levers to get the first bloody bead over the rim, but for the second, it is impossibly hard.*
*Anyone who replies with "just need to try harder" "using the wrong technique" etc, I'll give you £20 if you can put this tyre on my wheel using your hands only.

You're using the wrong rims. Zac19 has a deeper well, much easier to live with for weaklings with poor technique

The bloody wheels are built now! I'd much rather have those rims tbh :(
