I've got some slightly pricey bibs, don't fit over my thighs. Measure your knees and thighs, if they'll fit you I'll post them to you. They at autumn/spring bibs though, but thicker than standard lycra.
i shall do that sir.

Sorry to say, but this is the sort of thing you should make clear to the ride leader/organiser beforehand. I know you weren't expecting it to kick in or affect you, but noone could have known that beforehand. That is not just the case of HTFU, that is a medical condition.
Not sure how organised this ride is considered in the eyes of the law, but from both parts, better safe than sorry.
No more organised than a ride with a group of friends (legally speaking) has been the consensus when this has been discussed before. We've never asked for/shared medical info before a forum ride, and I'm not sure I'd know what to do with it if people shared it (I'm not a doctor!), other than worry...
It's a challenge on such a big ride to keep it together without marshals. Standard forum ride drill is to designate a backstop, who should be ideally be a more experienced/stronger rider and known/trusted by the leader. This means you don't have to worry about them, you'll realise if they're not there and you'll probably already have their mobile number if you forget to take it.
sounds like not eating enough is it, especially if everything from after lunch was a bit blurry.
@dakin Sorry to hear about your incident. Did you bonk? You normally get some warnings: serious lack of energy, dizziness, not being hungry/thirsty even if you needed it, grouchiness/irrationality? At the extreme end, hallucinations? To pass out without any pretty serious warning signs would be unusual and suggest another factor at work.
I just rode home from the south bank in just a t-shirt, its like the weather yesterday never happened. So strange.
Global warming innit.

Grouchiness and irrationality? I must live in a permanent state of bonk.

I was going to write extreme grouchiness and irrationality, but then thought better of it. That's what I meant though really.
