• According to Indras instagram theyre at a pub, potentially in brighton

  • Get well soon Dakin!

  • Uh oh what did dakin do

  • We don't know, he got lost or left and then fell.
We tried for ages to make contact but couldn't.

  • well thats not good!

  • ^^ jeez!

    Hope your okay Dakin!

  • wow what the fuck is going on here

  • dakin's in hospital apprently

  • Who said that?

I called Joss and a paramedic answered, she assured me that he was fine but he was complaining of neck pains. The paras were worried it was a hit and run at first but they think he may have just fallen.

She has also spoken to his mum and everything seems to be under control.

Unfortunately we got split up from him due to low visibility and awful rain.

I have sent Joss a text asking him to let me know when he is home.

    Heal up dude.

  • Last half of that ride was fucking grim. Hope you're Ok Dakin

  • Got up at half 12

    :notmad:

Shit sucks about joss, let us know your alright!

  • Hope your'e ok joss

  • Home to a very long hot shower and a cup of tea. Am finally warm and stopped shivering. What a fuckin crazy ride!

  • ^this but having that leftover M&S beer instead.

what's the best way of drying out Sidis? don't just wanna put them on the radiator incase it fucks with the glue or leather....

  • newspaper

  • ^stuff them with newspaper
    beaten to it

  • Cosmic.

All things considered a better day out than it should have been - only finally warming up/changing clothes can make me say that. A few hours ago all was mortal.

Obviously all the best to Dakin.

Michael - apologies again for the spillage.

Had 66 miles on the Strava clock at London Bridge. Arriving back at Ladbroke Grove it had shot up to 120.9. Bit miffed the results are skewed but that's a fair reflection of the ride itself.

  • Awesome ride*. Nice to meet y'all.

*i say awesome. What I mean is cold and wet and windy.

  • I thought I was going to get hypothermia and die, awesome ride.

    heal up Dakin!

  • you need more belly insulation fam... me and TM were cruising...

  • Home to a very long hot shower and a cup of tea. Am finally warm and stopped shivering. What a fuckin crazy ride!

Replace tea with beer and yeah exactly. Good riding with you up front and especially that bit after the Ditchling.

  • Me too :P minus the insulation.

I ended up riding home, traffic was too bad to catch a lift.

Have my pizza, chicken wings and protein shake.

This was my first proper ride ever and I had a great time, even riding in the wet was fun, standing around wasn't lol.

The wind was a bitch during the last 1/4 though.

    Heal up Dakin

Thanks for the awesome day guys.

  • I feel so bad about what happened to Dakin, hope you're ok fam.

Just adds to what must be the most dramatic forum ride I've been on, people getting bus'd, falling off, the rank weather but despite that still an awesome turn out. Great riding with you all and meeting you. Till next time, and joss, HealTFU!

  • Fuck I forgot about the bus, should I post the pics for a name and shame?

  • I've done London to Brighton before but never like this!

    Hope you're okay Dakin mate.
A couple of us waited for you at the bottom of Ditchling for a bit but when you never showed after a while we moved upward. Sorry man, we should've come back for you.

I couldn't hack the pace up the Beacon*, I got dropped off at the back, hence I wasn't at the pub at the end. Not to worry though, I was meeting someone anyways.

It was a pleasure to meet you all and ride with you and put some faces to screen names. You are a pleasant bunch in real life. Thanks for welcoming me into the fold and helping me challenge myself.

Really great ride, all things considered.

My vote for Man of the Match goes to Theo for riding really strongly throughout on a fucking ridiculous contraption of a bike, wearing double denim and shades whilst at the same time documenting the whole ride with his camera.

Oh, and thanks TM for the Restrap bottle carrier, it's bangin'.

    Moff to bed.

    Cheers.

*While struggling to make it up the hill, I genuinely thought it wasn't humanly possible and that being told to cycle up it was a practical joke! It was fucking hard work.
