Its my first real long haul ride, is it wise to do on single speed fixie ?? or should I wimp out and switch to 18t free wheel ?

this is the HHSB ride. 99% will be on fixed wheel bikes.

Go for it, I've never gone to Brighton either but plan to do a couple of practise runs first to make sure I'm up for it.

I might bring the interesting argos lo-pro if it's built by then...
