Oh, on the subject of signposting. I did the route solo a week after the event last year because I was away and I hardly used the Garmin I had thought I would need. Most of the very comprehensive signposting was still up..

April, might be sunny. I hope so. I am not sure I remember what that actually would look like. If it is sunny, does the water still come down from the sky?

The number of riders is limited. Not sure to how many, 200 or so I think.

I'm doing it with my 8yr old son as stoker.

So it's a kid friendly ride?

I couldn't see, but I assume that was paired with an extravagant pointing motion starting with the hand pointing over your own shoulder, coming down as though you were wielding an axe and ending with an emphatic pointing motion in front of you. At the same time as shouting "FACT".

My wife just qualified as a barrister and assures me that is what she does when she really needs to fix something in the jury's mind as being, well, fact.

"You are the murderer, you committed this heinous crime (pointy thing coming down with chopping motion)... FACT!"

And Oliver - Canonbie fixed is fun!

I'm sure it is--I still won't be able to get up it on 70gi. I'm rubbish a steep hills. :)
