Actually, that is a -17 borrowed with the bars. The 10 works ok, but I think that's going on the Giant. I now need to get my own compacts and lizard skins. So comfortable!

The sun was out and I decided to test out the bars that 1000AA let me borrow. The riding position is really comfortable and they don't look too bad IMO.

I think I still prefer the looks of the bullhorns though.

What are these bars out of interest?

I may be wrong, hut I sold 1000aa some bars once that looked really similar to those. They were just specialized otp langster bars. But like I say, I could be completely wrong!

The bars in that pic are the Raceface Cadence bars. I think they are £19 from CRC. I'm looking at possibly getting the 4ZA Stratos that are £24 at Probikekit at the moment. Slightly longer reacher and drop, but with more of a curve.

In other news (this is mainly for TM). I installed the -10 stem to the bullhorns for comparison.

Not sure if I'm convinced about the angles from a slave point of view, but the bars are comfortable in that position, which may be the important factor.

Back to the Nitto horns today on a 100mm -17 Thomson X2. Looks good but it might be a little too long for my reach.

My new drops should be arriving today or tomorrow, thanks to Martin for lending me his and therefore convincing me to spend more money again!

I would genuinely prefer the 10* stem... This is 10* and I think it looks good.

Yeah, I've not had chance to sort out installing and riding the 10 yet. I got hold of the 17 for cheaps on t'bay in preparation for my new drops arriving. #soon

It's all a work in progress. The aim is to try and find a couple of different setups I'm happy with so I can switch in and out when I'm happy. I'm all about the versatility. I might be getting some risers next month.

What TT extensions do Nitto make to put on these?

Also,this is gonna get flamed (possibly), I actually like the X2 stem over the X4 on these bars because you get to see the Nitto engraving through the clamp. The stem might not be as stiff as the 4 bolt, but I'm not some bruiser and I don't have a histroy of destroying components.
