ha! i been scobled.
the first thing that sprung to mind when i rode a eno for the first time was "wow those white indy guys made a bmx freewheel to the same kind of quality you'd get in a good road hub"with a cassette hub, you can get your chainline perfect, no matter what bb/crank set up you have too.
but ss/fixed *wheels *kind of ride better due to the drive side not being dished. -

i kinda like having a slight extra insight into these things
the day i bought this used WI 17t i sold a Fallkniven U4, for about the same money
ok, then i ordered a 22t ring for it, but the freewheel itself cost me no money out of my hand, effectively
and my first time using it, was after totally debuilding/rebuilding it, all parts separated into a dirty-box, cleaned and put in a clean-box
the exciting bit was removing the bearing from the 17t and getting it pressed into the 22t
without knackering it
WI advise against greasing the internals so i used Starrett Tool oil, which i like and happen to have handy
had to add a link back to the chain .. its a good 30 years since the last time i did that ...

You sold your U4 to buy a freewheel? I can live without a freewheel, but not my U4!
-
• #61
The trials freewheels are also really good, you can get more engagement points than the WI too if that's your thing and they're mostly a little cheaper.

heh . i have enough cutty things + i'd made it shinier + i cant take it outside with me in town
i prefer the spinny-thing with added talent :: it can get me to the forest

with 18t - 20t - 22t rings available, actually fairly well suited to my purpose
if id seen one going used, i might easily have jumped on it, despite the health warning that model comes with, thats only about bedding-in
head-turner clickyness is added-bonus, not a requirement
might be fun tho

I think the new Cannondale 29ers SS come with similar hubs, they're awesome (lacked to ZTR rims too).

i actually remember seeing those things. the last set of wheels i got built up.
prefered the look of the hope evo trials jobbies. wider flanges. bigger dollar.
toyed with the idea of a flip flop wheelset using a velo solo disc mount cog.
all purpose geared/ss/fixed wheelset.apologies for hijacking.

hmmm .. id be looking for solid-spindle hubbed wheel next
initially to replace my at-risk QR front,
tho not yet tho both hubs and spokes on this are bluethe stolenbike im replacing had a Campag steel smallflange front, w/track spindle
i believe the rear is with a mate of mine oop north who ive lost touch with [Ed u bassterd]
both were previous candlesticks, seriously and deeply pitted, which i restored to absolute shinyness and rotational excellence, but thats for another thread
sometime
never heard of, nor seen mentioned, any other steel campag hubs, anywhere, ever, tho after a search:
maybe Campagnolo Acciaio ? http://www.velo-retro.com/tline.html

shall i envoke tne Name of Tullio C. to get Campag SS freewheels made
they market manyspeeds, why not singlespeeds, for the trackboys
they have access to good sealed-bearings .. are they all balls still, cant be
and what exactly do Rome's couriers ride about on, surely not britgear like http://www.mountainbikecomponents.co.uk/result.asp?CategoryID=14&Name=GOLDTEC+Hubs+and+Wheels
