Piss off. it's still in London.
Just managed to change battery....
-
• #9428
is that even in England?
Using the charitable (Charing Cross) definition of distance to London, Sydenham is actually about a mile closer than Ealing. It's more like 4 miles difference in favour of Sydenham if you think the centre of London is the Monument.

Ant+ dongle USB c otg
Zwift. Fresh batteries.
Spin power wheel. (G3 ant+ only hub)
No signal.
Should it register something?
How can I check it's working?
I have no compatible head unit (edge 25 and edge 500 only). -

Yeah but no one is walking between boroughs with their cart now are they, so using hippy's 'does the frickin' Tube go there' measurement of closeness then it may as well be in France.

Just managed to change battery....
Persistence conquers resistance!
Is this what being a proud dad feels like?
:P

• #9432
Why won't it pair though??

I thought the G3 could talk to an Edge 500
-
• #9434
Ah. So it might. I assumed the worst. I'll see what I can do here.
-
• #9435
I preferred your original reply. :-*
500 should work. I presume you've gone into the devices menu and forced it to search? Get the units as close as possible and wait patiently.
Also, double check the battery orientation. I'm pretty sure I've put a battery in backwards once in a G3 or maybe P2M, probably both.

I'll see what magic happens tonight...

I'll check. I wouldn't put it past me, it was late last night post kids bedtime..
-
• #9439
LOLz, just read that after typing my reply.

If there's a way to fuck things up I usually find it. I think it's because I do all bike maintenance in a state of rage. When someone invents a 100 year battery and fast, puncture proof tyres I'll finally be chill like buddha in more ways than just being fat.

Well this is slightly annoying.
Ive put a new battery in, the right way (and it was the right way before), gave it a spin manually (it's not on the bike yet) and zwift can't spot it.
I've checked it with the ant+ sampler plugin from play store and it spots it and gets some measurements.Anyone seen this?

So PT is ok, USB or whatever ANT+ dongle is ok, Zwift is fucked = reinstall Zwift?

Will try

Both of the mounting clips have snapped off on my p2m ngego mtb, that hold on the battery cover. Looking forward to dealing this.
To be honest, it's not a good design for off road. I didn't think it though fully. Don't by this version for mtb. -

My Powertap P1 pedal bearings are getting pretty gritty, especially the right. Anybody had these serviced?
Only place I can find for this online is cyclingpowermeters.com and it's £145. Is this my only option?
-
• #9446
And the NG battery covers just fall off. That's why I still like the S-type design. Yes, changing the battery is a right royal PITA involving pliers and all sorts, but when it's done it's done and stays done.
-
• #9447
Yeah I wouldn't buy NG again.
And they're no responding to my emails either. Not pleased with them.
-
• #9448
Their customer service is crazily hit or miss.
-
• #9449
That's no good. I have one as well and it's been good so far, but I worry about that cap also.

I'm sure on a road bike it would be fine, mine is mtb and so gets a rougher life.
I think using it in very low temperatures -12 deg c might have contributed to it going brittle and thus fracturing easier. But just a thought.
Fcking 'ell is that even in England?
