• Sadly the promised track powertap has not appeared on their website.

Promised? People that want Track PTs buy from Wheelbuiler..

  • A Saris employee said that there would be a G3 Powertap Track hub on their website by Friday last week.

  • Although you can of course just go to Wheelbuilder, I accept.

Like Garmin said the Vector would be available in 2012?

  • £681 shipped, although you'd have to figure on getting taxed on top of that which would add another £170.

  • Still cheaper than most other options unless you go used.

  • True. I think I'll wait until someone goes on holiday to the US of A though.

  • I couldnt be bothered to go back to Keos. Nice enough pedals with the release tension cranked up. But my bearings died far too early. Prefer my Keywins too much.

I bet they'd be a good track option though.

  • Just been reading the DCRainmaker review on these. Apparently you have pedal backwards to complete the calibration of the pedals.

not insurmountable but a pain in the posterior with a track bike.

  • But then you can measure the power of your whipskids.

    Priceless info....

Just doing Leikr research, and I swear a certain forum sleeveless is putting on a danish accent...

Just felt the need to post this:

  • Wake me up when they have a Speedplay version.

It would be the perfect pedal system

  • garmin vector. £1300 for some pedals? Fu that.

  • Cheaper than KeoPower

  • Look/Polar better come up with the goods shortly or they will be totally irrelevant.

One thing I didn't think about was crit racing and grinding pedals into corners and/or crashing. That's gonna get expensive, fast, with these.

    Does not compute.

Apparently the pedal bit is made by Exustar and surprisingly cheap to replace - the Garminho gubbins can be switched over.

  • £200 a pair for pedal bodies is "surpringly cheap"? Complete Keo Blade Aeros are less than that

  • sits back, point proven without even having to do any research

  • ^^omfg. I didn't realise it was that much.

  • The Vectors do seem expensive. I wonder if they'll stick at this pricepoint, or allow discounting after production ramps up?

  • Isn't the marketing strategy that you bring in the 'Ultegra' version which is almost functionally equivalent and about $500 less expensive in a couple of months after the early adopters have paid over the odds for the original?

  • They'll have to leave it high for a while to milk the suckers. Then I don't think they'll be able to keep them that high. SRM, Powertap, P2M are far more attractive and can be had for less (SRM excluded).

  • The pedal pod thing just looks ugly. Whereas an SRM looks alright, as you say.
