• Are they still only available from the manufacturer or are some local peeps selling them yet?

  • Their site mentions dealers, but I'm basing this on going direct.

I don't know if they yet have any dealers.

I admit I am tempted to try it for the Serotta, as I want to keep the Ultegra cranks and this seems the most straightforward option, but I'd also like to wait for the #2 version.

  • #2 version? Have they got another update coming out?

  • Never buy the first iteration.

  • Looks at Mio global Infra red HR band on table

  • Oh for fucks sake. Imagine that the sentence in the post above has asterisks at either end, rather than being bold.

  • fuck this stupid posting bullshit

  • /bollocks bollocks bollocks

  • you'd need to get cranks

You'd need to get cranks for under £150, hence the FSA Gossamer not the Rotor 3D :-)

  • Imagine that the sentence in the post above has asterisks at either end, rather than being bold.

    *like this?*

  • I thought the 'S' version was the second version (if you don't count the temperature fix)?

  • I'd count the second (temp correction) version of the (now) classic as iteration #2.

    Type-S is #3.

  • Yeah, that's why I don't get what you mean by #2 version? Is there a second iteration of Type-S coming out? I don't get what you are waiting for..

  • Ah, referring to the 4iiii.

  • As in, I thought your question was in reference to my response to Dimi.

P2M won't have dealers - it's against their business model.

  • If your frame is BB30 you're welcome to borrow mine (it's in a box right now) if you would like?

  • Right, that makes sense. I dismissed that as soon as I looked at it. Looks like a smaller Stages.

  • You can have "true" double sided power with them, apparently - just glue one on each side.

As I said, I'll wait for #2, and an exhaustive DC Rainmaker review.

I'd love to try a Pioneer powermeter (for the 'Rotta), but they seem to be only for sale on the mainland.

  • Hmmm. Not as simple as I'd hoped then.

I must confess to being a bit confused by their website then, that states:

If you already have one of the following cranks you only need a power2max power meter and can use your existing crank:
    Rotor 3D, 3D Plus, or 3DF
    Cannondale Hollowgram
    Specialized S-Works or FACT
    SRAM S900 or Force22
    BOR RR688
    Tune Smart Foot
    TA Carmina or Vega
If you currently have another crank you need both the power meter and a crank.

Does this not suggest the same spider will fit numerous chainsets?

  • All of those cranks have a different spider mount and P2M make a power meter for all of them.

  • Fittingly we went buying sweets there in the seventies.

  • I see. Thanks for the clarification.

  • Has anyone tried fitting Rival Stages to Omnium chainset?
