Wonder how accurate they are? Also, are they single or multi use patches?
-
• #3229
the kickstarter seems to suggest they are multi-use but offers them in packs of 5,10 etc - so presumably limited multi-use

Says wearable for 7 days but yeah do you then bin it or does it just mean you have to change the battery or something?

"with 20 reusable and disposable patches"
Do not understand.
from other article "reusable “brain” that adheres to your skin (the calf or abdomen work best) via a disposable patch" starting to make sense.

Stages stopped working last week - couldn't work out why.... Then when I was changing the battery I noticed that there was a crack just above the battery port which had obviously let water in during last weekends monsoon and killed the unit.
Spoke to Saddleback this morning - excellent service so far - crank will be replaced in 1-2 weeks apparently. Fingers crossed.
Forgot to update this - I had a new unit delivered to me within a week. Fantastic service. Would break again etc...

It certainly is. How do you work out the TSS value for a ride? Is it possible without a PM ?

Why are rotor spiders so damn hard to remove???
I want my powermeter to work!
I've had it sat on my desk for 2 months now. -

Because you wouldn't want them coming off at the wrong time.
I'm leaning towards Rotor for my TT bike on the grounds of SRM now offering a rotor swap, so I can upgrade later, but that makes rotor removal their problem :-)

I believe that Training Peaks will derive a value from HR, but it's a proxy, of course.

Yep, I've just been reading up. Not sure I'm quite ready for training peaks and TSS yet.

Yep, you around later in the week/ next weekend?
Should be back in London from Friday. -

You need a vice and lots of torque, as Neil demonstrated. Rotor use threadlock too, so you need to break that bond too.

Should be back in London from Friday.Later in the week yes, but heading down to see my family from Friday.
I'll be back after Santa has been though - be up for riding if you are.

I'll be around and keen for some rides till the 3rd.
Shame about timing, but we'll sort it after Christmas. -

A decent hot air gun helps to break the Loctite bond. Once that's done, it's easy.

My G3 seems to be reporting stupid values. It's supposed to be a new wheel (though it was off ebay it looked brand new). Could it be the battery? The old ones wouldn't report low values they just wouldn't report anything.

@eyebrows boiling water poured over the spider also does the trick (thats how I got mine off)

I have been here with my wheel. I called up and they are suggesting new torque tube.
