Sunday 11 August, just over 120kms of easy rolling to Herne Bay on the Kent Coast

Fish and Chips,(traffic free coast path to Margate) train back.

You can get off at Herne Bay after eats but you will miss the best bit of the ride.

So gutted I missed this, went to a bbq in essex yesterday and ended up having to stop halfway home on the bike to rush into a pub and chuck my guts up in their bogs and then a lot more of the same after I eventually made it home.

stupid undercooked funking food.

none of my family are fake tanners luckily. we're from the poor council bit of south essex not the wanna-be nouveau riche footballers and wags bit like epping and that.

What a fab, cracking paced and fine company ride that was!
Following a 16 mile, into the headwind sprint, I am now enjoying an empty, air conned HS1 service to St Pancras. From the crowds I saw at Whitstable station, you peeps may be in for a cough cosy ride home.

Hope all you people had a good ride, I passed you going the other way on the leg between the Level crossing and Faversham, having already been to Margate and back, everyone seemed to be going well.

Top day, many thanks to all and the nice tailwind, first longtrip on a single speed bike...different innit? Been discovering new muscles...baled in herne bay (too many chipz)train back to Eltham in wwetherspoons having shandys....

Fantastic day, thanks to JM for leading and being himself as always. Home now, showered and off to Shoreditch of all places for a 30th bday celebration. (urgh)

The train back was very reasonably priced.

If anyone has a gpx file of today's ride they'd care to share I'd be most grateful.
I do this ride on a fairly regular basis and am always interested in alternatives - of which today provided many :)

After-sun with aloa vera has been applied where deemed necessary.
Sauvignon Blanc has been applied where deemed necessary.

Like after last weekend's Foulness Island ride - I still have no idea of the correlation of the names on here with the people I rode with today.

When we got train back from Herne Bay on last ladies ride similar story...no groupsave available from station machine & open barriers at Victoria. Win.
