Could someone explain to me why anyone cares about the bike swaps? Or are people still trying to figure out if there is a reason to care? I'm starting to fell stupider than usual.

CF frame snaps when it gets tangled up with bikes on another vehicle whilst clamped to a roof rack: no-one is concerned/surprised
CF frame snaps when driven over: no-one is concerned/surprised (it wasn't in this case anyway)
CF frame snaps as a result of a 40mph+ crash during a downhill: very little concern/surprise
CF frame snaps whilst riding along the road which causes such a crash: people concerned
